Today is the first anniversary of the Fort Hood Massacre.
Thirteen people were killed. Thirty more were wounded. By a lunatic crackpot who took advantage of everything this country had to offer him, and then had the unmitigated gall to turn on it, murdering his fellow soldiers and citizens in the process.
Nidal Hasan, their killer, is still alive. He has government-funded attorneys defending him, and the government is picking up the tab for his medical care.
The "cleric" who inspired Hasan to commit mass murder, Anwar Al 'Awlaki, who also inspired the Jock Strap Jihadist (i.e. The Underwear Bomber, also still alive), the would-be Times Square Bomber (also still breathing), and three of the 9/11 Hijackers, is still alive.
Why? Why aren't these men dead, and the culture that spawned them reduced to a very bad, and smouldering, memory? When are we going to demand that a War on Terror actually means WAR and not judges and juries?
When we will finally discover that Political Correctness, of the sort that protected Nidal Hasan and advanced his career, can actually kill? When will we finally get the cojones to kick this Fifth Column in Dirty Laundry out of the country?
Insanity is not a disease; it's a defense mechanism. The opinions expressed here are disturbing and often disgusting to those with no sense of humor. I make no apologies for them, either. Contact the Lunatic at Excelsior502@gmail.com.

Now I Know Why The War Isn't Over Yet...
The United States Army is infected by political correctness. We've seen it on the battlefield where commanders are often trying to accommodate the enemy ("win their hearts and minds"), rather than kill him. We see it in the way the brass ties itself up in knots over the "Don't Ask Don't Tell" policy, and that's when the Army isn't struggling mightily to excuse the behavior of a psychopath that was recruited, trained, promoted and protected -- because bringing Major Hassan's behavior, activities and attitudes to light might have cost someone OTHER THAN Maj. Hassan their career -- until he went on a shooting spree and killed 13 of his fellow soldiers.
As Colonel Tom Collins (perhaps he drinking some) made clear in the article:
"...We're an all-inclusive military," Collins said. "We honor all faiths. ... Our message to our service and civilian work force is about the need for diversity and appreciation of all faiths...."
Now, it's also about sensitivity to the enemy's feelings; Franklin Graham, son of Evangelist Preacher Billy Graham, had been invited to attend a National Day of Prayer ceremony at the Pentagon, but that invitation has been rescinded, because...wait for it...the Army has decided that Graham is an "inappropriate" speaker because he once made disparaging remarks about...Islam.
What did Graham say?
"...Graham, the son of famed evangelist Billy Graham, in 2001 described Islam as evil. More recently, he has said he finds Islam offensive and wants Muslims to know that Jesus Christ died for their sins...."
Now, I'm not one to defend faith, as I think it's a disgusting little bit of self-delusion that people have used in a variety of ways for centuries, mostly for evil, but this is insane. In case no one told the US Army, the enemy is Islamic, and although we keep trying to make distinctions between "Good" and "Bad" Muslims, the truth is that there really isn't any such distinction to be made. Islam is not a religion, although it plays one of TV; it's a system by which total control can be exercised over those infected with it. The Nazis and Soviet Communists would have been green with envy, because Islam succeeded where they both failed.
And it's overarching principle is this: you are permitted to rape, murder, destroy, forcibly convert, steal, and enslave, so long as the victims aren't other Muslims. It's like an excuse to unleash the very worst in human nature while giving the perpetrators the ability to justify it, and thus, avoid the guilt normal people feel. This is the driving impulse behind Islam: the True Believer is directed to spread the system by the sword, violence is the means by which Islam found it's way out of the depths of the Arabian deserts and was carried to the four corners of the globe. The Islamic Warrior is supposed to be ruthless, dedicated, violent, and intimidating, because when he applies these tools in a whatever convoluted way his "religion" desires, he's promised a place in Heaven for it.
In our military, if you punch a terrorist in the stomach, they bring you up on charges. Under Islam, if you walk into an Israeli kindergarten with explosive boxer shorts, you're a martyr to the cause, and celebrated as a hero.
That's what Franklin Graham denigrated. A sick, sorry, twisted excuse for religion, practiced by the absolute dregs of the Earth. That, United States Army, is who the enemy is. Not Rev. Graham, but the guys dressed in the pile of dirty laundry with the RPG's and the death wish.
I say let Franklin Graham pray in front of the Pentagon all he wants; if that's what the troops want, then that's fine. Also because every time he does (and others like him do) it annoys the fuck out of the Towelheads, and we should never pass up an opportunity to make them, at the very least, uncomfortable. Especially since no one's making any great effort to KILL them in the tens of millions.
I'm going to go out on a (not-much-of) a limb here and guess that whoever made this decision is probably an Obama appointee , because this is the sort of niggling (OMG! Did you really just use the "N-Word", you racist?) stupid, anal-retentive detail that would consume the waking thoughts of a good little Libtard who understands Her (it's gotta be a Her) marching orders and Her place within the Libtard pecking order.
In fact, it wouldn't surprise me at all if this was simply an offshoot of the other Libtard who won a court case last week in which it was determined that the National Day of Prayer was a violation of the First Amendment.
This war would have been over a very long time ago had someone simply remembered that wars are won by making the enemy suffer, horribly, so as to destroy confidence in his System and Way of Life, while steadily degrading his ability to continue the fight. Apparently, the Rules have been rewritten to ensure that we kill no one, rebuild everything we bomb (and they re-bomb, and re-re-bomb), and that we make no disparaging remarks about the enemy's culture.
There's no longer any need to wonder why we're still in Iraq and Afghanistan, and why Iran has decided that we're all bark and no bite. The United States Army is not only reluctant to kill the enemy, it'll now make sure we don't insult him, either.
(Ed. Note: this is not a scathing indictment of the troops being shot at, it's a denigration of their leadership, which is consumed by Political Correctness. I'm certain that if the leadership took the leash off, the Troops would make a pile of dead Muslims that would reach into space, and never again would any Islamic nutjob raise as much as an eyebrow in our direction).

The Pentagon Shooting...And Healthcare...
By now you've heard the name John Patrick Bedell, the now-dead man accused of shooting two Pentagon Police Officers (who knew the Pentagon had it's own police force, and why?). who was himself killed in the ensuing gunfight.
Naturally, the Homeland Security morons were right there to assure us all that an attack at the Pentagon wasn't related to terrorism, that there was no terrorist plot, and that these were the actions of a lone psychotic.
These were the same words they used to describe the Fort Hood Shooter and the Pantybomber, you'll recall.
Only this time, Homeland Security just happened to get lucky (hey, it happens from time to time), and someone actually came along who managed to fit their pre-generated profile of the White Male Weekend-Warrior Terrorist. But, this post isn't about bashing Homeland Security any more than it needs to be. It's about the shooter.
It turns out that John Patrick Bedell was bi-polar. Mentally ill. It also turns out that his doctor and his parents were quite concerned for his safety, and worried about what he might do. They informed the authorities that their son was out there, somewhere, and possibly dangerous. He was known to have a drug problem (He was smoking pot. Yeah, that always works -- anti-depressants and marijuana. Just what you need to defeat depression; another depressant) on top of his disorder, and was known to law enforcement in his hometown.
Well, now we know what he was capable of doing. How many people have to say "this guy is fucked up..." before someone decides that the current regime of outpatient treatment just isn't enough for some people?
In hindsight, people are now taking his internet pronouncements seriously. They didn't when he was alive, because that would have meant recognizing a problem, and they might have been expected to do something about it. Let's face it; whatever he wrote on the Web was probably the same stuff he repeated, ad nauseum, to his family, doctor and whatever friends he had, it was probably all he ever talked about. No one took him seriously then, and they probably dismissed him as some harmless kook spouting conspiracy theories on everything from 9/11 to the manipulation of the stock market.
Apparently, Mr. Bedell had been under a regime of "treatment" for a very long time. I put that term in quotes for a reason; most psycho-therapeutic treatment nowadays consists of "take this pill..." and endless $400-45-minute-hours of "tell me what your mother was like..." in which the patient gets to ramble on about whatever is on their mind that day, and the therapist simply nods her head and asks often-irrelevant questions. This form of therapy takes it as axiomatic that the patient has his own answers, and that if you let them talk enough, they'll eventually stumble upon them.
For some people, usually the smart ones, this works. They eventually come to some understanding of what their problems are, and they figure out some strategy for straightening their lives out. Then there is the especially dense crowd, for whom all the talking does nothing, and they require direct instructions or advice from a therapist or psychiatrist...and then they don't get it (that violates the underlying premise of talk therapy, you see!), and wind up in therapy forever.
For other people, this routine simply never works. For people like John Patrick Bedell, the combination of feel-good-self-esteem-and-talk-based psychiatry and prescription drugs often doesn't begin to examine, or even identify, the underlying causes of their particular issues. They don't get much benefit from therapy, and the drugs usually just serve the purpose of taking the edge off just enough...something that keeps these folks from slitting their wrists or from driving a semi-trailer into an Arby's, or something. They are either unable to describe what they're feeling, or worse, they can easily recognize what's wrong with them, but they have no ambition whatsoever to change it. The worst of all are the people who consider their "issues" to be virtues: they are in possession of some great truth, or hold some greater distinction which causes the rest of the world to have a problem with them; not the other way around.
Bedell's internet ranting about a certain Colonel James Sabow -- considered a key player in many 9/11 Troofer conspiracy theories -- probably explains why he tried to shoot his way into the Pentagon; he was probably convinced that it was the only way to get at some version of truth. Maybe, he even sought fame and fortune in the attempt -- I don't know. But, I can promise you, that people who think this way don't just wake up one morning and decide to do the deed; it's usually all they can talk about for weeks, maybe months, before they actually do it. The obsession literally consumes their lives. Where was his doctor? Where was law enforcement after his parents reported him? This is a critical stage in the story, and in his treatment.
A doctor who knows that his bi-polar patient -- probably with some form of severe obsessive compulsive disorder on top of it -- is smoking marijuana while under the influence of anti-depressants, and who is probably telling anyone who will listen about his insane conspiracy theories and determination to get to the bottom of it all, if that doctor does not turn his patient into the police for his illegal activity, or better yet, have his patient committed for his own safety, he or she is derelict in his duty as a physician.
Who knows just how long this "physician" was "treating" Mr. Bedell. It perhaps it was too good a cash cow to endanger with something stupid....like helping his patient get better, or getting him off the street.
John Bedell went to the Pentagon to do one, or probably both, of the following:
a. find out the 'truth' about 9/11, and
b. failing that, becoming a martyr to the 'cause' (9/11 Troofer-ism), while simultaneously ending his own, internal conflict.
Then again, maybe there was no help for John Bedell if he had gone that far. The sad fact is that for many folks with mental illnesses there never is any, despite the highest caliber of care and professionalism from his physicians. So, what does a crackpot shooting up the Pentagon have to do with healthcare?
Having been treated for a mental illness or two in my lifetime, I'm far more likely to sympathize with John Bedell. I don't condone anything he's done; Shooting at police officers, or attempting "suicide by cop" is a stupid thing to do. It solves nothing, and is far more likely to inflict pain on innocents, needlessly. That's selfish. I also don't go for the "Rambo" mentality that believes you can shoot your way into a heavily-defended objective just because you saw Bruce Willis or Sly do it a few times; if you think this way, you're delusional and a danger to yourself and everyone else.
The question I'm asking is this: at what point -- after how many John Patrick Bedells and Joseph Andrew Stacks (the I.R.S. Kamikaze in Texas) -- do we begin to realize that there are legions of people out there who are suffering from largely-controllable mental disorders that are ticking time bombs? The care they get is often inadequate, spends too much time on pap sociology and political correctness, instead of on real medicine, and it isn't always geared towards doing much more than putting money in someone else's pocket.
Since everyones all up in the air about Health Care Reform, how about we start somewhere where a difference can be made almost immediately? Most people suffering from depression, bi-polar disorders, stress-and-trauma-related disorders can be treated effectively, and cheaply, and way before they reach a critical mass to play hide-and-seek-with-bullets with a bunch of cops. They also make up a large percentage of people who are typically treated for a range of associated physical problems; heart problems, overeating, alcoholism, drug abuse, child-and-spousal abuse, and those just start the list off. Fix those problems by changing the way the medical profession, and society, views the mentally ill, and you'd go a long way towards fixing many of the underlying issues of our "Health Care Crisis".
Many fewer people would be shot at, or have small airplanes launched at them if you did.
Just don't let Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid do it.
The reason we probably won't overhaul the mental health care business is because it isn't "sexy". It's not a cause du jour like AIDS, Childhood Obesity and Breast Cancer. You'll never see Scarlett Johansson or something wear a ribbon for Mental Health on a red carpet. But, it probably does just as much, if not more, damage to people and society than all three of those other maladies put together. Until someone decides that mental health issues warrant as much ink, publicity and attention than these other things, we'll see a steady stream of John Patrick Bedells on the evening news.
Shame on us.

When "A Commitment to Diversity" Kills...
Mark Steyn on Diversity and Murder.
The politically-correct-and-motivated concept of Diversity is not so much a quest towards creating a freer, more-inclusive and more-egalitarian society as much as it is a weapon in the arsenal of those who abhor both freedom and fairness. Diversity is not a tool used to help "oppressed minorities" -- it is a tool used to oppress White Males and extract concessions from them through the manipulation of guilt.
I've seen the effects of "diversity" up close and personal in my business career, and I can say this:
I never had a racist, homophobic, or sexist thought in my head before I was forced to attend sensitivity training. I've never been surrounded by a bigger crowd of whining pansies in all my life. The experience left me wanting to vomit and desperately needing to wash the stupidity off with a Brillo Pad. I became convinced in those 16 hours-over-two-days of Sensitivity Training, that many of my fellow human beings were little better than slugs, and most seriously-retarded slugs at that.
The true effect of all that "diversity" training and lip-service was that several tens of millions of dollars had to be spent, new "executive" positions needed to be created which were little more than sinecures, a great deal of money and effort had to be expended in order to set up Potemkin-like kiosk displays for Kwanzaa and Eid and Samhain. We, as managers, were expected to treat grown people like sensitive little children, smiling through clenched teeth at their often-petty grievances and mental constipation when we wanted to smash some heads like ripe melons. It was done not because the company had any real commitment to racial harmony, but because lawsuits are very expensive things.
"Diversity training" and "a commitment to diversity" are usually the responses of an organization who could care less about an individual's feelings, but needs to appear as if it does in order to keep Je$$e Jackass from busing in protesters to extort a check for Rainbow/PUSH. In the business world, a "Commitment to Diversity" is simply an expense; the cost of doing business, just like paying off politicians or letting the CEO use a gas-guzzling, super-expensive limousine to commute from the Upper West Side to Downtown and back everyday
In other endeavors like the murders at Fort Hood, we see what happens when diversity becomes the overriding goal, rather than the real core mission of defeating terrorism. Major Hassan wasn't a very good officer let alone a halfway-decent psychiatrist, but he did enable some bureaucrat to fill in the "Other" box on a certain form, and that kept the lawyers at bay and the Congressional Oversight Committee off someone's back. The "mission" of "encouraging diversity" became more important than the mission of winning a war against a system which is most certainly the most dedicated to anti-diversity you can ever expect to see in your lifetime.
Fourteen people died horribly at Fort Hood so that some bureaucrat could check "Other". They died because many people who were in a position to stop Hassan before he opened fire were more frightened of the consequences of hurting someone's feelings, or incurring the wrath of the bureaucracy, than they were in doing the right thing.
On Wall Street, you only lose money. In the military, you lose lives. The fact Major Hassan was Muslim became more important than whether or not he was actually on our side.
I think there should be a law that states that anyone who even uses the word "diversity" in the politically-correct sense should be taken out and burnt alive on Pay-Per-View.

Don't You Know There's a War On?
Apparently, the Obama Administration does not.
Today, another bunch of Congresscritters will hold yet another hearing on the problem of terrorism. I'm wondering when they'll get around to demanding that Attorney General Holder answer the question he left hanging at the last round of Congressional Hearings: How many lawyers at the Justice Department once represented terrorists? And when will they be fired? Oh yeah, and how many more of these ultimately-pointless hearings will we have to endure? These Congresscritters yack and question, the witnesses dodge questions and provide a lot of hot air, and then nothing ever gets done. But I digress...
The purpose of this hearing, we're told, is to question the response and activities of the Obama Administration in the wake of the attempted Underwear Bomber attack on Christmas Day. Some Congressional republicans are worried that the Obamatards are so concerned with providing terrorists with rights and attorneys that they may be missing the bigger picture; terrorism isn't a law-enforcement problem. That attitude, the presumption that terrorists should be brought to public trial under civilian rules of evidence, is what brought us 9/11 in the first place!
It appears that this President and his National Security apparatus intend to continue to fight Terrorism with the Cops-and-Robbers approach which manages to throw ever-more layers of law-enforcement at the issue until they all begin to trip over each other's feet. Eventually, you get enough law-enforcers with different aims, jurisdictions, missions and concerns, and the whole thing gets FUBAR'ed in a mass of legal red tape which ensures that even if you get these terrorists before a judge, it has taken years and cost millions and some (if not much) of the evidence against them is subject to continual legal challenge. It's better to just ship these guys right off to Gitmo and let them have a good-old-fashioned military tribunal, like the sort Congress has already approved...twice.
But that might mean that Mr. Holder's buddies in the legal profession might not get federal funds for defending terrorists, and it would also mean that he'd (probably) have to fire half the lawyers in the Justice Department who once defended terrorists on the federal dime.
I still say a carefully-planned program that kills enough Muslims in the most gruesome and painful ways we can devise until they're either all dead or give up the hope that terrorism will achieve their goals is the way to go, but what the hell do I know? I'm just some dope with a website, not the Attorney General or President of the United States.
UPDATE: Some word on a new terror threat, this time by a lone gunman in New Jersey. The man was armed with a grenade launcher (where the fuck do you get one of those?), some high-powered weapons, a ton of ammo and a map of a military base. I just love the way CNN waited until the very last paragraph to include this gem:
"...Officers searched Woodson's hotel room and found another assault rifle, a grenade launcher, a police scanner, another bulletproof vest, a map of a U.S. military base, hundreds of rounds of ammunition and a Middle Eastern-style headdress, the statement said.."
Middle Eastern-style? You be the judge.
Also, Newzweak is reporting that nine years after 9/11, the government has still done next to nothing to defend this country against terrorists armed with WMD's. Probably because 90% of the democrats that have been in office since 9/11 still believe that WMD's are some figment of Dick Cheney's fevered imagination, dreamed up to give Shrubby McBushHitler an excuse to invade the peaceful country of Iraq, so he could kill brown people. Considering they haven't done much to stop terrorists with bombs in their jock straps, and put another through Medical School and then onto the Army's payroll, I'm not surprised. The mid-terms cannot come soon enough.

The System Worked, Part V...
Unless, you're called before Congress to explain why it didn't.
You know, I'm so glad we have these idiots in control of the TSA, the FBI and CIA. I'm glad that we have things like the High-Value Detainee Interrogation Group (that doesn't get used), and crappy software designed by those who bid the lowest but had the best political connections. I'm so happy I could drop a log at the fact that after 9 years we're not only forgetting the lessons of 9/11, but we're ignoring the ones we've learned since, while pouring billions of increasingly-scarce taxpayer dollars into a federal sinkhole that doesn't do what it's designed to do: catch terrorists.
But then again, it's representative of what has been done in much of this so-called War on Terror.
The DHS and it's affiliates don't capture terrorists, and the soldiers we sent overseas don't capture them either. No one is actually fighting a war "over there". If they were, millions of Muslims (may of them potential terrorists) would be dead, and those that survived would be sufficiently cowed so as to never even think of taking up arms against the United States ever again. Instead, we're spending billions to rebuild Iraq (a country we largely destroyed in the first place), and billions more to nudge Afghanistan forward... into the Mud Age, probably so that IBM, Mary Kay and Dodge can sell them laptops, lipstick and overpriced pick-ups when the conflict is over. These are people who don't understand the basic concepts of personal hygiene, yet someone has decided they'll make a wonderful consumer class one day. A few Muslims terrorists get a drone-fired missile up the Nether regions, but many more roam the landscape freely planting IED's which kill and cripple our troops...who aren't allowed to fight back except under increasingly stringent and legalistic rules of engagement.
And when it's all said and done, what do we have to show for it?
Democracy in the Middle East? Don't be stupid. An end to terrorism? It only ends when terrorists and the people who support them are dead, and not enough people are dead yet to make terrorism an unattractive option. Right now, terrorism pays -- just ask Hamas. Myriad opportunities for Congress to engage in graft with taxpayer money in the name of 'defending' the American people?
BINGO!
Because if there wasn't graft or politics involved in the process of both war and airport security, a) the war would have been won, with the Middle Eastern nations bowing before America, falling all over themselves to pay us tribute, and keeping their violent retards under wraps, b) you'd be able to take a flight from Birmingham to Albuquerque without having to spend an extra four hours at the airport getting undressed, x-rayed, interrogated, herded like cattle, drinking your own breast milk, while having to pack even less luggage in see-through bags for your little adventure than Bear Grylls or Les Stroud does.
It wouldn't cost twice as much, be such a headache, and you'd even be able to get a meal and use the toilet on the flight. It might actually even be a reasonably-bearable experience without all the extra-normal bullshit demanded by a security system furnished at the expense in time, money and sanity of the law-abiding, but which gives those with ill intent with a distinct advantage: no one wishes to offend the would-be murderers amongst us. The System is full of built-in loopholes, and administrated by mouth-breathing government types with little-to-no motivation to actually succeed at anything, let alone their primary mission.
We could be dead, but they'll still have their jobs in the aftermath.
This kind of thing ought to scare the fertilizer out of you.

This Is Why Newsweek is Going Out of Business..
Because it employs dickheads like Fareed Zakaria, and pays him a buttload of money to write absolute shyte, like this:
Don't Panic - How our frenzied response to terrorism only feeds it.
Zakaria's argument runs something like this:
1) Muslim fanatics like to yank our chains; it's why they hide bombs in their underwear, behead folks on the internet, and take intercontinental flights in an attempt to commit murder-suicide over an American city. It's all a big joke to them; they get off on making people believe they're crazy. It gives them a hard-on.
2) Every time we react to one of these attempts in the typical fashion, i.e. we expect the government to do...something...usually some measure so totally asinine, intrusive and expensive -- and which avoids inconveniencing Muslims, the most-likely source of terrorism -- we look foolish. The Muzzies then get bigger boners and giggle ever-more girlishly.
3) As we advance to the extremely foolish stage, like when we search 90-year olds in wheelchairs, take bathroom privileges away from paying customers, make breast-feeding mothers drink their own milk, or put nose-picking, knuckle-dragging union slobs in charge of full-body scanners and chemical sniffers, Al Qaeda sits around in their their guano-filled caves laughing until they wet themselves. Then they stroke each other's massive erections. It's all great fun for them, you see.
Their only aim, according to Zakaria, is to throw the "American system into turmoil". This is their sole aim, he says.
Nah, these guys aren't out to kill us...no,no,no. They don't wish to destroy our civilization and the system of freedoms which we enjoy. Oh, hell no! They're just practical jokers... like a bunch of drunken frat boys, except that they sometimes go a little too far (you know, like when the blew up the USS Cole, or knocked down the World Trade Center). The solution, according to this fucking moron is to relax...don't sweat the psycho bombers so much. Pay no heed to that guy screaming his head off about jihad, enslaving the West, and beheading innocent contractors who came to his country simply to bring him indoor plumbing...they're just fucking with us. It's all a joke!
Sorry, but I can't put Osama Bin Laden on the same level as "Bluto" Blutarski. For one thing, Bluto had better table manners.
I will agree with Mr. Zakaria to this extent: he's absolutely correct in his assessment that the current system of responding to Islamofascist terrorism is not working, and is perhaps, counterproductive.
Which is why we should be killing these goat-fucking cocksuckers by the millions! Unleash the U.S. Military! Drop a few Big Ones, and let these practical jokers know it ain't fucking funny anymore! That'll wipe the smiles off their faces, for sure.
Then we can send Fareed Zakaria back to whatever sandy shithole it was that he crawled out of.
Problem solved.

The System Worked, Part II...
Okay, so we've gotten a sorta-kinda-half-assed explanation of what happened, vis-a-vis Undibomber, with yet more (according to some, very shocking revelations) to come. The bad publicity caused by a Homeland Security Secretary who is extraordinarily clueless, a State Department who can't revoke the visa of a terrorist they themselves have identified, a TSA that can't stop people from walking backwards through security checkpoints, and a host of unconnected dots, has finally stripped Barack Obama of his stock excuse -- "It's George Bush's Fault" -- and has him admitting, finally, "It's My Responsibility."
It remains to be seen how much of this is simple political theatre, and how much is actually indicative of a genuine change. Is this President, finally, learning? Is he beginning, after Fort Hood and Pantybmber, to realize the nature of the threat? We can only hope so. His "The Buck Stops Here" speech was the first time I can remember this guy at least looking like he got it. Perhaps he's just stung by the criticism that he wouldn't interrupt his vacation to deal with Pantybomber, perhaps he's come to the realization that there have been two high-profile attacks on his watch, or maybe his Keystone Kops lineup, starting with Napolitano, was so incompetent and so publicly humiliating, that the Big Guy decided to grab the reins and save himself some grief?
We'll see.
In the meantime, we hear that the CIA didn't exactly take the Knickerbomber seriously, either, but then again, Leon Pannettta couldn't be bothered to interrupt his vacation either when seven of his agents were snuffed out in a bombing attack in Afghanistan, so it begins to become clearer almost everyday just where all this lackadaisical attitude comes from. From the top.
Obama treats terrorism as if it were a social issue, instead of an act of war. Eric Holder treats it as a criminal issue, in his mind there being no difference between a terrorist and stick-up man. Hillary Clinton doesn't speak of terrorism at all, unless she can't avoid it, because that re-opens the whole "Bill Clinton didn't get Osama Bin Laden when he had seven chances" box. Leon Pannetta doesn't believe it exists -- even when it strikes close to home and claims the lives of CIA agents in the field. Janet Napolitano, the shockingly-dumbest person I've seen come down the pike since John Edwards, can't wait to get in front of a television camera to paint defeat as victory -- only to have to stumble over a recantation a few hours later that makes even less sense than her previous announcement.
If you want to see how that sort of attitude, and that sort of 'professionalism" brought us a guy with a bomb in his underpants, read this.
Perhaps now, this Administration will keep it's eyes on the ball, and get serious about stopping people like this.
Update: Clueless Janet opens mouth, inserts hoof...again. (with Video!)

How's That Transparency Thing Working Out?
A report on the security lapses that brought us the Peni-bomber. According to one source, "you'd be absolutely shocked..."
If Undibomber accomplished anything, it was to force the President to keep one of his campaign promises, the one about Transparency. We now 'know' what happened, and what didn't happen, in terms of the security of Northwest flight 253...or at least the sanitized version of events the White House chooses to explain and which it can still blame on George Bush. That they had to do so as a result of a self-inflicted public-relations wound is beside the point -- government is supposed to explain shit to the people -- and this is at least sufficient.
Whether the Security Apparatus (and the Administration) actually learn anything from this failure, is another matter altogether.
But, contrast that level of (grudging) White House transparency about the mistakes being made at Homeland Security to what is occurring on the other side of Washington on Capitol Hill. C-Span may not be allowed into the hallowed Halls of Congress to discuss another issue that concerns us all.
I guess there's transparency and the there's TRANSPARENCY...
Update: Whoops! Forgot the links to to the articles. Fixed now.

The Religion of Peace Speaks About Fort Hood...
This is a load of crap. Major Hassan isn't innocent because he misunderstood the 'context' of the Koran -- he's guilty because he shot and killed people. 'Misunderstanding the Koran' is not a mitigating factor in his defense, and the only reason this pile of shit was written was because the author apparently fears the association of Islam with an insanity plea.
Why are these people still alive?

The Day of Infamy, Redux...
In honor of our historically-challenged President's belief that Emperor Hirohito signed the Japanese surrender in front of General Washington on the deck of the Titanic in Montego Bay, we come again to the 68th anniversary of the Attack on Pearl Harbor. A day that other socialist-cult-of-personality-figurehead (F.D.R.) referred to as "A Day which will live...in infamy...". Obama thinks "A Day which will live in infamy" refers to the day that Canada became the 57th state (that Harvard Education is somethin', aint it?) so of course he can be forgiven for not seeing the parallels between 1941 and 2009.
In 1941, the United States was confronted by an alien culture convinced of it's innate superiority, and determined to find it's 'rightful place' in the world, even though doing so meant the abolition of freedom, security and life for millions. Their religious belief told them that they were a chosen race, the virtuous children of the gods, infallible, superior to the dishonorable 'barbarian races' of the West, with their love of technology, money and their decadent pursuit of comfort.
And so, Japan embarked on a program of national aggrandizement and enrichment that led to conflict with the United States, and took the lives of untold millions in China, South East Asia, Korea, Manchuria, India, Burma, the Pacific Atolls and Archipelagos, Australia, and eventually, Japan itself. It's first intended act was a strike against the United States Navy that was the only instrument in the Pacific capable of putting up any resistance to the Japanese steamroller.
Twenty-nine ships were damaged or sunk at their moorings. Over 200 aircraft were destroyed. 2,400 Americans lost their lives. A nation was plunged into war.
On September 11, 2001, the United States was once again confronted by an alien culture convinced of it's innate superiority, and determined to find it's 'rightful place' in the world, even though doing so meant the abolition of freedom, security and life for millions.Their religious belief told them that they were a chosen race, the virtuous children of the gods, infallible, superior to the dishonorable 'barbarian races' of the West, with their love of technology, money and their decadent pursuit of comfort.
And so, the Muslims have embarked on a program of cultural aggrandizement and enrichment that led to conflict with the United States, and which takes the form of a nuclear Iran, unchecked Muslim immigration into a Europe, the culture of which is slowly being denuded by the steady advance of Sharia. It extends to the elaborate 'lawfare' and welfare scams of Canada, where those who enter come merely to take from others -- but not to join peacefully with them -- settle comfortably, protected by speech codes and government regulations. It's come to America where a man can behead his wife or kill his daughter because his religion says his honor demands it, or maybe have the Army pay his way through medical school so that he can then slaughter his fellow soldiers. Shouting "Allahu Akbar!" while he does it, but we're not supposed to point to the common, Islamic thread that runs through it all. We'd be racists if we did.
Nineteen Islamic lunatics slammed hijacked airliners into the World Trade Center and the Pentagon, and a third plane was prevented from hitting it's still-unknown target by the bravery and sacrifice of the passengers themselves. A nation was plunged into two wars.
The Japanese showed a great deal of tenacity in war, willingly going to death in suicide attacks, sacrificing blood and bodies for time. They felt they could make the war so terribly bloody that we decadent Westerners would finally just get sick of it and sue for peace on terms favorable to them. They did not surrender easily (or much), and it eventually took a combination of events which together were so monumental -- the atomic bombs, coupled with the loss of Manchuria to the Soviets -- that surrender only became an option when their leadership finally lost the heart and will to continue the fight. And even then, when the rumors of surrender began, there was a palace coup against the Emperor (the very incarnation of God himself!) that finally only failed because of one of those uniquely Japanese cultural conundrums: The generals were willing to overthrow their Emperor for the sake of going down fighting like true Samurai, but when the time came to actually do it, no one would commit the sin of waking the Son of God up in order to arrest him.
The Islamofascists in Afghanistan, Iran and Iraq also show a great deal of tenacity in war, willingly going to death in suicide attacks, sacrificing blood and bodies for time. They think they could make the war so terribly bloody that we decadent Westerners will finally just get sick of it and sue for peace on terms favorable to them. They surrender easily, however, because like all bullies, they can only threaten and wave their fists from a position of strength. Beneath it all, they're really goat-herding pansies. It will eventually take a massive and bloody defeat that is so overwhelming and so utterly lays bare the shortcomings of their culture and system that surrender becomes the only viable alternative to utter destruction. And even then, some will continue the fight, too stupid to know any better, and others will continue the fight amongst themselves, blaming and killing each other for being insufficiently pious enough to defeat the inferior Westerner. It's been that way with them since Xerxes sat on the beach overlooking the Battle of Salamis; Islam merely made the Royal Persian aversion to facing obvious truths a universal institution.
President Obama should pay attention that sort of history, the kind that repeats itself, and not the made-up shit he learned at Harvard. Sometimes, in order to defeat a committed enemy, you have to do some really nasty things. Thirty-thousand men with an expiration date, and letting the craziest and most reckless of your enemies develop nuclear weapons simply doesn't cut it.

President Douchebag and His Asswipe AG...
Well, if you had to knock the Health Care debacle out of the public eye, how would you do it?
If you're Barack Obama, first you leave the country, get really far away -- like the other side of the International Date Line(once again bringing shame to the office of President of the United States by bowing to yet another foreign potentate) -- and then just to make really, really certain, you give the public something other than a monumental government power-grab to fear... you trot your race-baiting Attorney General out to announce that not only will terrorists be given civil trials with all the attendant rights attached to criminal defendants, but that they will be tried in the city most traumatized by a terrorist attack.
I was trying to think of words that described this tag-team stupidity by Obambi and his race-baiting AG, and I came up with Douchebag and Asswipe, but I wasn't certain I was using them correctly, like all the hip kids do these days. So, I looked them up at UrbanDictionary.com.
The words perfectly described what I think of these two men.
The Urabn Dictionary defines douchebag, thusly:
"Someone who has surpassed the levels of jerk and asshole, however not yet reached fucker or motherfucker. Not to be confuzed (sic) with a douche"
Just in case you weren't certain what a douche was, in the context of modern slang, it was defined as:
"a word to describe an individual who has shown themself to be very brainless in one way or another, thus comparing them to the cleansing product for vaginas."
Asswipe, I was suprised to learn, has multiple definitions. They are:
"1) a device that has been used to remove excrement from the anus. 2) a person who resembles in behavior, language or attitude a device used to remove excrement."
Which suits Mr. Holder to a tee. He is, indeed, cleaning up Obama's shit on this one.
And then I thought to myself, "Are these people really just THAT clueless and retarded, or did they spend years working at it?"
Well, that question was answered for me by two Congressmen who appeared on the O'Reilly Factor the other night. Anthony Weiner (Asshole-New York) and Joe Stupak (Dingelberry-Pennsylvania). Definitions:
Asshole: someone being arrogant, rude, obnoxious, or just a total dickhead, and Dingleberry: A delinquent partial turd which grasps anal shrubery causing brownish crust to accumulate in ones boxers.
And yes, I've decided they obviously DO work at it.
Stupak not only supports this stupendously absurd decision by the so-called Obama Administration, he even wrapped himself in the flag with his anus-puckering, self-serving, petulent refrain of "I didn't wear this country's uniform and defend the Constitution to see anyone, even a confessed terrorist, denied the due process of law.." routine.
When you see this guy, and then recall General Casey's fervent hope that the Fort Hood Massacre doesn't put an end to the Army's diversity efforts, you start to wonder why they let people with the brain power of the common cockroach into our military acadamies. Just because you wore the uniform, it doesn't make you a fucking saint beyond all criticism vis-a-vis your intelligence, Congressman Stupak...just ask General Petreus.
Weiner (and was a man ever more aptly named?) went through numerous iterations of (paraphrasing) "It doesn't matter, they will be convicted. The American Justice system will be shown to be the best in the world...and can you stop whining about it and stop criticizing our President?"
Well, Congressman, if it doesn't matter, if, as you say, a conviction is a foregone conclusion, then why a) have the fucking trials, and b) bring these scumbags to New York to rub salt in everyone's wounds? Unfortunately, Bill didn't ask that obvious question, and shame on him for missing it.
But just what do they think they're going to accomplish with this stunt? It can't be just to get people to cease talking about Health Care, could it? No, it can't be. But I think I've figured it all out.
See, Obambi knows he wil lose on Health Care, and all his good little left-wing fascists will be mighty upset with him, what after punting on Gay Marriage, and so he has to give them something to really get their juices flowing and angry at someone else, so...
George W. Bush and Dick Cheney finally get put on trial, albeit vicariously.
Because you just know that's what this trial is all about. How GWB trampled civil liberties, and how these poor, misguiided, misunderstood, otherwise-peaceful Muslims were so badly treated, waterboarded, subjected to cold cells (In Cuba?) and loud rock music, and finally they just confessed to whatever was put in front of them. Why, even if they're guilty as hell that's just so...unfair...and stuff, to your average hippie holdover.
And now, five terrorists, five murderers, are going to get what they've always wanted: a public forum, with all the cameras in the world watching, from which they can once again belittle, insult, and confound the Great Satan, explaining to their shit-eating brethren in the Middle East just what they gave up, who they gave up, and how it was pried from them. They get to put the process on trial. They get to expose sensitive intelligence and methods in public. They gain both heroism martyrdom on the cheap -- and with the full encouragement of the President of the United States -- before they get their lethal injection.
God help both Holder or Obama if one of these guys walks. All it takes is one judge who's even dumber and more politically-motivated than they are, and in New York City, they ain't that hard to find. It will never be mentioned that these guys were not members of a standing army, nor members of legally-constituted militia, that they were not arrested in Cincinatti, but on the battlefields of Afghanistan and Iraq, that they aren't entitles to a POW's rights under the Geneva Convention, nor do the civilian standards of evidence apply to them because of the circumstances of their crimes and capture.
"There is no CSI Khandahar...", as one astute flapping rectum put it on TV this weekend.
If you ever needed a clearer demonstration of just how ridiculously out-of-touch our so-called leaders are, you couldn't ask for a better example. These people are ape-shit crazy, and I for the first time, I'm NOT talking about the terrorists.

An Unapologetic Non-Apology...
Boy, ask why there are any Muslims left alive and people get testy! For anyone who hasn't read it, it was yesterday's post that kicked up a crapstorm of three nasty e-mails. This, incidentally, is greater than the number of Senate democrats who will eventually vote for Nancy Pelosi's death panel bill.
No, I won't apologize for thinking out loud what so many think privately. Why are we bending over backwards to protect the sensibilities of a bunch of animals who don't care about ours, oh, and who murder our citizens in the name of their phony-baloney system-of-mind-control-disguised-as-a-religion?
I'm sick and tired of hearing an argument that begins "You know, not ALL Muslims are terrorists..." or "there ARE 'Moderate Muslims'...", but you know, I never see any of those. All of the Muslims of my acquaintance have been arrogant, underhanded, and they all smell. I've known a few who were certainly not very pious at all, and just like alcoholics 'find Jesus' after some great tragedy, it seems to me that many 'westernized' jihadists only find Allah after they've been disappointed in some way -- like when the blond girls won't go out with them. Big deal: I've never had an Arab chick, but you don't see me praying and buying fertilizer and diesel fuel, do you?
They're full of shit. It's all "I'm a victim this..." and "I'm a victim that...". If it isn't the 'legacy of colonialism' it's how the 'West hasn't recognized the achievements of Muslim culture...', which, so far as I'm concerned, are limited to the burqa, the explosive belt and syphilis (from all that goat shtupping, you know).
So, to clarify what I really mean when I say "why are there any Muslims left alive".
I mean, why are there any left alive? And if we have to leave them alive, why do they still have the temerity to think we care about what they have to say? Why aren't they walking about meekly, stung by the embarrassment of a) being Muslim, b) having their culture utterly exposed for the sham that it is, and c) scared shitless that someone may notice them and give them a dirty look, at the very least. I want them cowed. I want them lain so utterly low so as to ensure that nothing is ever heard from them again. I want a state of affairs where they are so afraid of the United States, and the West, that they dare not ever raise their voices against us, let alone launch an attack.
I want an Israel that is unfettered by American diplomacy so that the next time the Palestinians launch rockets and walk into pizzerias with explosive belts, that the IDF is free to push them the hell off the continent, let alone out of the West Bank or Gaza. I want that Iranian nuke nipped in he bud, and the country flattened so that they'll never be able to try that stunt again. I want Afghanistan napalmed...and then sown with salt. I want the Saudis and Pakistanis to respond to every request of ours with "Thank you, Sir, may I have another?". I want Osama Bin Laden shipped to New York City in irons and given over to the tender mercies of the citizenry... screw a trial. I want Gitmo moved 90 fathoms below water. I want to stop this ridiculous nonsense of political correctness where we can't identify threats to our safety and security and act accordingly without being accused of the basest of motivations by people who who haven't got the same sense God gave a slug.
If the 'other side' in this war-in-name-only is free to express their wishes on the death and subjugation of the Great Satan, I figure that gives me the right to do likewise. And while I'm certain there's a 'moderate' Muslim out there, somewhere, they have seen fit to remain silent out of cowardice, both physical and moral, unable to support the side of the angels without being a 'bad Muslim', and unable to curse the bad guys because of the threat of the fatwa. You're fence-sitting pansies, and next to useless in this sort of fight, so I might as well toss you on the funeral pyre of your culture, as well. About as useful as teats on a bull, for all the good you people do.
Hope that clears it all up.

Some Questions About the Fort Hood Shootings...
1) Why are there any Muslims left alive? I thought there was a War on Terror, or something. I thought Muslims were committed to killing us all and destroying our society and supplanting our culture (it says so in the Koran, you know), so why is there anyone walking around here speaking Arabic? Why is it that people can still see and experience Islamic culture, in all it's 7th century squalor, outside the confines of a museum? Is this actually a War, or is it simply a public relations campaign with guns? Yeah, I know; it's too difficult to actually kill that many people, and besides, the world is watching and whatever would they think? Actually, I don't give a damn what they think of us in Norway or Luxembourg -- this is a matter of life and death, and several thousand Americans have already died on the battlefield and in our streets.
(Note: I'm not advocating genocide, I'm asking the question in an exaggerated manner for effect. Spare me the hate mail).
2) Despite the outcry about there being 'good Muslims', Maj. Hasan's murders occurred in the same fortnight within which a Muslim father ran down and killed his own daughter for being 'too Western', a Muslim woman attempts to murder her husband in his sleep because 'he made her wear a miniskirt', and within the same month that another Muslim woman actually sued for separation from her parents because of her conversion and subsequent fear for her life. This is after another Muslim man beheads his wife, and several others kill their daughters for assimilating into the greater American culture. The same fundamental theme runs through all of these cases: this is a culture that refuses to modify it's own norms to conform to it's new host culture. It still believes that the solution to many of it's problems is in violence, and that violence is often sanctioned and required by it's faith. We have imported a vast crowd of people who hate us, don't want to be among us, refuse to assimilate with us, and in the end, feel totally justified in killing us when we refuse to kiss their asses. Ask them to leave, now, or we'll only see more of this sort of thing.
By all reports, Hasan was given everything by the United States (the Army even sent him to medical school), but he still regarded the murder his fellow soldiers as a religious duty. Allegedly.
3) If I hear one more asshole in the media try to advance this 'vicarious-PTSD theory' and use it as an excuse for Maj. Hasan, I will tear someones eyeballs out. It isn't a joke. I've suffered from PTSD (although certainly not anything like our troops serving overseas have) and I'm sick and tired of this aura of fear which surrounds it. People who suffer from PTSD are NOT crazy; in fact, they're probably some of the sanest individuals you'll ever meet. If they weren't sane, they wouldn't have been stressed to the point of illness by their experiences. Second, PTSD is NOT contagious. It's not Swine Flu, Herpes or Chicken Pox. You have to actually have been under extreme stress (usually a life and death stress) to develop it, and it's quite often easily controlled by therapy (it's never 'cured' because the experience remains for life).
I've encountered this sort of ignorance in my daily life and have been discriminated against for it on so many levels, I can't even begin to list them here. How we treat and regard people who have this disorder is a serious business (one which doesn't get as much attention as it should), and it's too important to be left as a threadbare defense for a murdering asshole who's prime motivation was his religion.
Yeah, I know none of this is politically correct, but I could care less. If I were a Muslim in the United States these days, I'd think very hard about whether or not I wanted to stay here. I'm not advocating anything, so no one do something stupid and assault someone or harass someone. But, there's a group of people out there who need to make a decision about whether they truly wish to be Americans.
(Note: I'm not advocating genocide, I'm asking the question in an exaggerated manner for effect. Spare me the hate mail).
