"Help" Syrian Rebels? Why?

RE: The announcement by the Obama Administration that it will give "aid" to the Syrian rebels currently fighting the regime of Dictator-for-Life Bashir Al-Assad.

I seem to recall an old saying that goes something like this:

When your enemy is making a mistake, don't interrupt him.

Arab Spring, My Ass...

We should buy these people some Irish Spring, and then maybe they wouldn't smell so bad.

Here's the recent record of Obama foreign policy, vis-a-vis the Middle East:

Egypt - The Muslim Brotherhood is in power, after a popular uprising against a by-comparison benign dictatorship.New Egyptian 'President' Morsi attempts to take dictatorial powers and pronounce a theocracy despite all assurances from the White House and State Department that the Muslim Brotherhood is a peaceful, democratic organization that hasn't the slightest intention of setting up a brutal, thuggish, reactionary regime of religious and political repression that supports terrorists.

Egyptians who took to the streets in the name of reforming the previous regime of President-for-Life Hosni Mubarak didn't sign up for this MB bullshit, so they're back in the streets attempting to reform or overthrow this regime before, it too, ossifies into an Iranian-style dictatorship. Obama backed the wrong horse. Why? Who knows?

On Bayonets and Horses...

RE: The Obama debate line about bayonets and horses, and the implication that both are useless on the modern battlefield:

A Bayonet charge in Basra, Iraq,  in May of 2004 saw 20 British Troops defeat 100 Iraqi insurgents.

In Afghanistan, U.S. Special Forces are working closely with Afghan Horse Cavalry, and beating the snot out of the Taliban

One wonders how it is that a Commander-in-Chief can be so ignorant of actual events on the battlefield..Then again, he seems ignorant of events being filmed by a fucking UAV, as they happen, in a place -- Benghazi -- that's supposed to have been 'pacified' by Obama's divine decree.

But, hey...it was a great zinger to use on Romney, right?

By the way, these examples took me all of thirty seconds to find using Google. Obama has an entire National Security and Intelligence apparatus, not to mention a Military that reports directly to him, at his disposal, and he still doesn't seem to know jack shit.

On Shooting Afghans...

Apropos of the recent news of an American soldier allegedly murdering 16 Afghans, I say this:

Give that sick motherfucker a chestful of medals, and turn him into the next Patton.

If you're going to have a War on Terrorism at all, it should, one thinks, behoove you to be out killing the people who will, eventually, be performing said acts of Terorrism. After all, every Afghan is just one missed shipment of Islamically-approved, American-taxpayer-provided, dog-food-grade canned goods away from joining the Taliban, anyway.

Our Government is Out to Kill Us....

There is no other explanation.

$60 billion dollars wasted on intelligence agencies which seem incapable of telling people what they need to know, but then can -- with a straight face -- point to a single sentence, with no relevance whatsoever and after the fact, which purports to "prove" that the Obama Administration "was on top" of the whole Egypt debacle all the time. The entire thing a sad-but-necessary bit of political theatre. Barack Obama, the Lightworker, Savior of the Universe, must be seen as infallible and all-knowing -- even if he is dumber than a sack of hammers, and some General has to ruin his reputation trying to convince you of it.

Sorry, but it doesn't look like Obama knows a damned thing about anything from here. But then again, that's perhaps not so much his fault, as it appears the people who are supposed to know seem incapable of telling him. Maybe The One wants it that way; no unpleasant news which might interfere with his fantasy world where Communism can be made to work. Perhaps people are just afraid to approach the Right Hand of God and utter non-politically-correct blasphemies to him. Maybe, just maybe, there's so many goddamned Czars, Special Advisers, Special-Assistants-to-the-Special-Advisers, Special-Advisers-to-the-Special-Czar-Assistants, that by the time information percolates up to the Resident of the United States, it's been cherry-picked, mangled, garbled, folded, spindled and mutilated to such an extent that he can't make any use of it, or it leaves him badly misinformed.

I will remind Gen. Tapper -- and I really dislike his cavalier defense of what appears to be indefensible --of something that he should already know, assuming he's read any history whatsoever; when the intelligence services are no longer interested in providing badly-needed facts, especially inconvenient and politically-painful ones, and are instead committed to ensuring that a certain political point of view is presented and advanced, then the term "intelligence service" becomes an oxymoron, and the threat to our citizens increases one-hundred-fold. If that was an example of what we're paying for -- something that read like a 5th-grade book report, only with fewer facts and fewer reasonable conclusions, to judge from the excerpts -- then it's no wonder that the Obama administration hasn't clue fucking one about how to fight a war against terrorism (then again, GWB didn't either), and seems to always be two steps behind the curve on every foreign policy issue of the day.

I'll tell you all you need to know about how to deal with the Middle East and international terrorism, Mr. Obama, and I don't need expensive satellites, eavesdropping equipment, spies, a great big expeditionary force, or fifty douchebags in government gray three-piece suits carrying James Bond briefcases, and Cereal-box Batman Decoder Rings. I don't need $60 billion bucks, either; I'd settle for $1 billion (tax free) if and when my ideas are tried and found to work.

Here's how you treat any issue arising from the Middle East;

1. Start killing Muslims by the tens of thousands, right in the shitholes where they breed, at the first sign of trouble. Make them suffer horribly, and if and when they beg for mercy, kick 'em in the teeth, and repeat the process. Once the Muslim World has been reduced to a smoking wasteland of ashes, pulverized concrete, and starving dogs feeding on rancid corpses, you won't need to spend a whole lot of money spying on anyone there, because the survivors (if there are any) will be far too busy trying to remember how to walk upright and gathering insects for subsistence to entertain thoughts about bombing anyone or shouting "Death to America!"

The reasons why we haven't followed this surprisingly simple strategy are easy to understand:

a. We are afraid, as a culture, to face the truth about the nature of the enemy, and his motivations. This (War against Radical Islam) is not about some minuscule band of nutjobs that simply 'give Islam a bad name', nor is it just some politically-motivated movement of really-excitable people; it is a fight against a poisonous cultural and religious imperative that is inimical to every value we hold dear. These guys can't be negotiated with. They can't be bought off. They can't be democratized, and then traded with. Their goal is nothing less than our death as a culture, and if they can't arrange that, they'd be happy to settle for our enslavement.

Instead of recognizing the obvious -- the leaders of this crusade (not afraid to use that word!) have only been telling us what they intend for the last 50 years -- we chose to be willingly deaf, and to advance with Eyes Wide Shut. Why is it that no one is listening, or takingnote of the obvious? Because if you took the Ama-dada-doo-dads of the world at their word, someone might expect you to actually do something, and who the fuck wants to take action? Taking action means possibly making mistakes, and when you make mistakes, they talk badly about you in the newspapers and on FoxNews.

b. There is a streak of cowardice which runs through the political leadership of the West. Doing what is necessary, in this case fighting a war of annihilation, is simply something too terrible for them to contemplate. In European capitols this is understandable; they've been -- excuse the expression -- Ground Zero for two World Wars, and they are, literally, on the front lines in this fight; the Muslim populations of a good number of European cities is absolutely staggering. War is already on their doorstep, but their cultural memory of war is such that they shrink from the prospect of further violence.

I have news for you; these guys (the Terrorists and Islamonazis) aren't afraid to die, like we are. In fact, they're eager to die; when you kill them, you're doing them a favor and sending them to Heaven and hooking them up with the false Paradise their stinking excuse for a religion promises them. Killing them by the tens of thousands, in this regard, is not as terrible, as say, the useless and bloody experiences of the Somme, Verdun or Ypres, the mass slaughters on the Eastern Front or the Hurtgenwald, it's actually an undertaking which would make both parties happy: we get to continue our way of life, they get Martyrdom. Everybody's happy!

But, bearing that sort of history in mind, it is easy to see just why Europeans would shrink from the sort of violence necessary to win a war of this nature.

There is no excuse for such a cringing attitude in this country, however, which makes the campaigns in Iraq and Afghanistan so confusing. No American city has ever been bombed flat...or at least not yet, and one would assume we'd be less squeamish than pansy Frenchmen and Panty-wearing Belgians. It appears as if the original strategy for both wars was to give the appearance of a strong response to Islamic terrorism without actually responding strongly at all. Considering the length and apparent meager returns of both campaigns, one is left to wonder just when it is that the real war is going to begin in earnest. From my viewpoint, there hasn't been a War on Terror as much as there has been a Public Relations Exercise With Guns in the Middle East, and a steady assault upon the liberties of Americans at home. All excused and justified by the threat of a future terrorist attack.

Two consecutive Administrations have talked a good game about a War on Terror, but there's been very little useful action, all the purple thumbs not withstanding.

c. The people who hold and exercise political power in this country are committed, insanely, to an unworkable program of encouraging democracy in a part of the world where that term has no meaning -- unless it means that the people get to vote for Sharia Law and expanded Jihad, implemented under the auspices of the dictator of their own choice -- and where the institutions to create what a Westerner would recognize as a pluralistic, free-market democracy simply do not exist, and cannot be created swiftly. Not without a long-term, and probably-bloody, super-expensive and difficult occupation of the Middle East.

This should not be surprising as it has been evident for a very long time in the Western world that our own political institutions have been overrun and infected by a multitude of people who poorly understand both the nature and origins of democracy, themselves. Their attempts to democratize the Middle East, and their repeated, weak justifications for their hard-to-fathom (in-)actions to date, remind one of some new-and-improved-and-vaguely-defined version of the White Man's Burden; only this time the program is being handled not by the energetic and clever individuals who built, say, the British Empire, but by a bunch of drooling doofuses who can't articulate just what it is they do hope to accomplish, and who are too busy playing domestic politics with the issue to be bothered with such petty distractions like winning the war before claiming victory for this or that piece of it.

d. Let's be clear; these wars are about Oil and access to it. The terrorists are funded by the proceeds of petroleum, and the West, for a variety of insane and often-contradictory reasons, is addicted to the Middle Eastern variety; but we could shrug off the worst of this addiction in a relative heartbeat, if we really tried. Doing so, however, is politically impossible at present because neither Right nor Left is either honest about it's true motivations, nor ready to jettison most of it's own Sacred Cows. So, we're locked into a strategy of trying to negotiate with madmen, dangling the trinkets of democracy, diplomatic niceties, commerce, and friendship -- none of which they want or understand -- all the while denying that the true engine of this conflict is the Right's requirement of Middle Eastern oil to maintain it's technological and economic dominance (while crowing about Free Trade), and the Left's motivation which is to ensure that all the pollution, dirt, danger and poisons that come from drilling and refining crude oil -- and which make possible their cushy lifestyles -- to be the problem of some brown-skinned people so that we can posture about saving endangered fleas and have nice, clean parks. And this all happens while Leftists paradoxically crow about their concern for both the 'environment' and the welfare of the 'Third World'.

The first step in winning this war is to be honest about why we're in it, and exposing the bullshit political pathologies which guide and inform the people who supposedly run it.

2. Since international terrorists do not respect the distinctions between innocents and combatants, or the niceties of international borders and sovereignty, neither should we. If it becomes necessary, for example, to chase a terrorist from Afghanistan and into Pakistan, it should be done, and fuck the Pakistani government; if they were truly an ally, they would be going after these guys themselves.

This is a war where there is no battlefield, no well-defined and recognizable front lines, unless you remember that London, Madrid, and New York were made such by the enemy. In this war, the enemy has the initiative; he chooses where to strike, he chooses where to fight, and when we chase him from one battlefield (say Afghanistan), he quickly melts away to another (say, Somalia). This isn't the same bunch of ragheads hopping from country-to-country every time, either; it's a world-wide movement that springs up in another place just as soon as we're occupied elsewhere, and this is by design.

Al'Qaeda, much like McDonald's, is a franchise; you don't have to have met Usama Bin Hidin' personally, or been given orders from his own mouth, to open up a branch of Al'Qaeda...only a press release, and an atrocity. Which is why it is imperative to stop this nonsense about building schools, and bringing clean water to a guy who is your friend this week, and planting IED's the next; start doing some truly horrific violence to people, and the romantic allure of becoming a Junior Al'Qaeda quickly wears off. String together a series of truly-disgusting incidents of violence, and pretty soon either no one wants that McBomb Franchise anymore, or, even better, there's no one left to join the Jihad.

Being nice to these folks is not going to deter them. Recognizing their borders and sovereignty is a courtesy they certainly don't extend to us. Being sensitive to their feelings is tantamount to surrender. It should be the policy of this country that it will reserve the right to beat the piss out of terrorists wherever we find them, and we fucking double-dog-dare-you to stop us.

3. Since the terrorists, and the states which support them, don't give a damn about UN resolutions, international law, cultural sensibilities, etc., neither should we. The only way to win this thing -- permanently -- is to be just as ruthless as the enemy, and often, thrice as ruthless. This is not a war over some line on a map; it's about ridding the planet of a pernicious evil that is every bit as dangerous and deadly as any we've ever known.

This is not a rabble of discontented people fighting for their freedom or rights; it's the mass psychosis of an entire culture reaching it's boiling point and erupting all over the world, committed to the idea that it is a chosen group, born to rule, promised dominance by God. It will use unspeakable violence to achieve that goal, and it is aware of the fact that it cannot achieve it's victory in one fell swoop; it is prepared to spend decades, perhaps centuries, to achieve it's divine destiny. For this culture, perpetual warfare is something that will just have to be accepted as the price of success. That many will die, and good number of them will be committed to suicide as a tactic, is something they actually embrace. With enthusiasm.

Along the way, they will engage in the worst crimes a Westerner's fevered imagination can come up with; slavery, mass rape, genocide, mass destruction, looting, pillaging, beheading, floggings, mutilations, burning down entire cities, destruction of cultural icons (art, architecture, literature, etc.), theft and dislocation. Their motto, to paraphrase the Caliph who ordered the destruction of the Library of Alexandria, is "if it agrees with the Koran, it is not needed; if it does not agree with the Koran, it is not wanted...".

These assholes are not interested in our quaint notions of law, justice or diplomatic discourse; they want nothing less than to erase everything we hold dear or recognize as decent from human memory.

The West has dealt with enemies of this sort before. These are the New Huns. The New Nazis, Vandals, Visigoths, and Mongols. They are the New Breed of the Emperor-worshiping, fanatical, Kamikaze Japanese Militarists who had to be dug out of a hundred island strongholds, subdued by firebombing, bloody direct assaults, and atomic blasts. They are the Modern Day equivalent of the Aztec who had a perpetual need for slaves, flowing blood, and the beating hearts of their enemies -- a gift to their insatiable gods who gave them the imperative to conquer and kill in their names.

And while we dither, while we argue over the financial costs of wars we're barely fighting, as we argue about how to give free boob jobs to senior citizens and illegal immigrants, while we pretend to know what's in the hearts and minds of Muslims while blissfully ignoring the evidence of our eyes and ears to the contrary, while we pretend that we're dealing with people who are just like us, and who want the same things we do, and who are just jealous of our freedoms, they're arming themselves with intercontinental ballistic missiles and nuclear weapons; establishing contacts and alliances with the Enemies of Decency, the international drug cartels (Mexico, Columbia), the rogue states (North Korea),the criminal dictators of the world (Chavez, Khadaffi, Castro, Putin, et. al.), that will enable them to strike at us so much more easily and decisively when they're finally ready to do so -- all of it financed by The West itself, in the form of oil and drug money.

They've also infiltrated our societies, mostly because they were invited to do so, and work from within to weaken our resolve, tie us up in our own laws and pieties and suicidal need to be seen as 'nice', and if they can manage it, score a Trifecta of Insult by building a Mosque at Ground Zero, with federal funds, and with Western politicians and courts defending every overtly obnoxious, antagonistic gesture they make in the process. They laugh at us while they sap our morale and plan to kill us with our own money and institutions.

I promise; if you follow my plan, you'll see guaranteed results within 30 days, Mr. President...or your money (or rather, OUR money) back..

Hamid Karzai: "I'd Join the Taliban..."

That was a quote from an article in yesterday's Washington Post.

Good to know that we've built President Karzai a wood-panelled conference room, complete with glass-topped table. Perhaps the only glass seen in Afghanistan, ever. Someone should point out that he's storming out of a wood-panelled, glass-topped conference room paid for by American taxpayers, and how dare he criticize us from it. What the article doesn't say is that he probably stormed out of American-built-and-paid-for wood-panelled, glass-topped conference room to his American-built-and-taxpayer-paid-for-wood-panelled-and-glass-topped luxury Presidential mansion.

Loved this part:

Skeptics of the strategy contend his actions, particularly in the six months since the Obama administration started to embrace him as a partner, demonstrate that he cannot be rehabilitated. As a consequence, they maintain that the overall U.S. mission should be scaled back because it is impossible to conduct a counterinsurgency campaign without a steadfast ally in Kabul's presidential palace.

Wrong strategy. How about we try this one:

"...Skeptics of the strategy contend that his actions, particularly in the six months since the Obama Administration (contradiction in terms) started to embrace him as a partner, demonstrate that he cannot be rehabilitated. As a consequence, they maintain that the overall U.S. mission should be scaled back so as to ensure that Afghanistan is a smoking, glass-topped radioactive crater, liberally strewn with the radioactive ash of perhaps the most violent and inbred retards on Planet Earth ...".

I rather doubt the American taxpayer would object to this, as it would mean no more "insurgents", no more stone throwing from a man who is kept alive and in power by American blood, and no more fucking pesky Afghans, the true descendants of Ghenhis Khan. It would mean greatly reduced government expenses, meaning lower taxes. It would remove Afghanistan as a "safe haven" for Al' Qaeda (itself a misnomer; Al' Qaeda's safe haven is actually Pakistan), it would show them sandy Iranians who was boss, and send shivers down the spine of every so-called "moderate" Muslim state, sending the message that if you don't get with the program and try to pull your society out of the fanatical mire of the 7th century, and restrain it's more radical elements, you just might not have a society anymore.

At some point our political "leadership" is going to have to recognize that this "War on Terror" is going to have to involve a Carthaginian Peace. Some might say this is a draconian mindset, that it's simply too terrible to contemplate, but I say this: When was the last time the Carthaginians gave anyone a problem?

The current, I suppose you might call it a "strategy", isn't working, in either Iraq or Afghanistan. Primarily, this is because the American political "leadership", from Bush I to Obama, has forgotten that in order to win wars, one must make the other side suffer horribly until they are pushed beyond the limits of their endurance. Instead, we're trying to bribe ignorant savages into behaving in a civilized way with glass-topped conference rooms, schools, wells and hospitals, which are things the savages place no value upon in the first place. For many Afghans, the word "freedom" has nothing to do with personal, economic or political rights; it simply means a return to the status-quo, in which every sheep-shagger-in-dirty-laundry has the "freedom" to regularly beat his wife and rape his livestock, for as long as his AK-47 can manage to secure him this petty power.

Primarily these grandiose plans of turning Iraq or Afghanistan into a pluralistic, democratic republic come to ruin because the leadership of this country is completely ignorant about it's own pluralistic, democratic republic. Very few of our political class studies history, and when they do, it's of the romanticized sort (tinged either by the American Founding-Fathers-Manifest-Destiny myth on the one side, or the crazy fantasy of Progressive Revolution on the other) in which the mere opinion of some douchebag with a Harvard PhD replaces actual facts. We are in the position today of having a country run by people who profess their faith in the American System, but who are in complete ignorance of how that System came to be, or even of how it works. The Blind-and-Stupid in this country lead the Blinder-and-Stupider in the Middle East, and somehow this is all supposed to workout for the best?

Somehow, these people (our current political leadership) believes it can "give" freedom and democracy to a bunch of desert-dwelling child rapists and psychotic killers who don't value such things, cannot comprehend them in the abstract, and would surely reject the Law of Man as being inferior to the Law of God, how, exactly?

I'm reminded, once again, of the old saw regarding chimps and handwriting. It goes something like this:

If you try to teach a chimp to write, he just might learn to. However, he's far more likely to just stick the pen in your eye.

In this case, the chimp is named Hamid Karzai.

Taliban Honcho: "Why negotiate? We're Winning..."

Okay, so the source is (P)MSNBC -- take it with a grain of salt -- but, yeah, I happen to agree with this walking pile of dirty laundry with a beard. The Pentagon's insistence notwithstanding, we're not "winning"in Afghanistan -- not by the metrics we're using to tally victories.

Hamid Karzai isn't a very popular man. He wasn't when we installed him -- basically, it was at gunpoint -- in the Presidency, and he didn't magically become any more popular as we looked the other way at his alleged corruption. First forgotten lesson of Vietnam: you can't "promote democracy" in a land with no history of democratic institutions when the government you've created for them doesn't do it's duty without regard for the law, or even a set of ethics. It makes democracy look bad, and people are unable to identify any differences between the previous autocratic government and the current corrupt one.

Except for the Purple Thumbs, of course.

These people don't value the concepts of "freedom" and"democracy" because they don't know what any of that jazz is, what it's good for, or how it's supposed to be used. For most of these guys , the ability to continue life as it is -- the right to rape your goats, beat your wives with impunity, and carry an AK-47 -- is about all they want out of life (under different circumstances, these guys would probably be right at home in rural Mississippi or Appalachia). They don't see the value in any system of thought or government that threatens this state of affairs, assuming they understand anything that doesn't go "BOOM!".

It also doesn't help when the Secretary of State and the President have pretty much told the world that Karzai is a bastard, but well, he's our bastard, and we're stuck with him. That fact, probably more than any other, has given the Afghan opposition, especially the Taliban, hope.

Second forgotten lesson of Vietnam: it isn't enough to just kill the enemy in the field. You need to break his morale, and his will and means to continue fighting. This means inflicting inhuman suffering upon your enemy. Predator drone strikes just don't cut it. Until the greater mass of the people in the Northwest Frontier are starving to death, reduced to drinking from mud puddles, eating grubs andbits of undigested vegetable matter from animal dung, covered in suppurating sores, in constant physical pain and discomfort, and see their children dying for lack of the basic necessities, the Taliban will continue to exist.

Since this inhuman suffering is the natural state of affairs in this part of the world, it might, perhaps, be beyond our capabilities to make life measurably worse, in any meaningful sense, for anyone.

The third forgotten lesson of Vietnam: you're fighting with one hand tied behind your back when you allow your enemy unfettered access to weapons and material support from a third-party. Anyone who believes Pakistan is a dedicated ally of this country is taking mind-altering drugs. The Pakistanis created the Taliban, after all, and it is some elements within the Pakistani government which are rearming, funding and providing intelligence to the Taliban, not to mention giving them haven in the Northwest Frontier.

Pakistan merely goes through the motions of fighting terrorism, because the military aid that flows from America to Islamabad is what keeps the ruling elite in their position, and the economic aid we provide is what keeps what passes for a Pakistani economy from completely collapsing, and creating a second Afghanistan...only with nukes.

So, yeah, if I were the Taliban, and the Americans cannot a) show that democracy is something Afghans should get on board with, b) inflict enough damage/suffering upon the Taliban and their supporters to get them to rethink the validity of their cause, and c) get Pakistan to be an honest partner in this fight, no matter how much we bribe them, then, yeah, I would say "I'm winning", too.

They only have to wait out US public opinion. We have to actually fight. They're doing their part, we're pretending to do ours, and our servicemen have been paying the price for this pussyfooting-about strategy. Mark my words: General Petreus, before this year is up, will ask the President for more troops for Afghanistan, and insist that we're thisclose to "victory", while trying to make the case that American withdrawal in 2011 (as scheduled) would deprive the US of a well-deserved victory that otherwise cannot justify the sacrifices in blood already made.

And Obama, like Lyndon Johnson, will fall for it hook-line-and-sinker. Victory in Afghanistan in a conventional sense, is impossible. Victory can only be measured in human suffering, and it is exactly that level of suffering that the US Military, as deadly and efficient a force as it is, cannot generate. In fact, it strenuously tries to avoid killing anyone it doesn't have to, and provides food, schools, roads, sanitation and electricity to people who are only one incident removed from changing sides -- which is the Afghan national past time, anyway.

The fourth forgotten lesson of Vietnam: you can't keep tying an elusive "victory" to regular requests for more of everything. Every time you ask for more men, you're not inspiring confidence that you can, indeed, win. Westmoreland was sure he was winning, too...but somehow, he kept finding himself asking for more and more troops. That victory he kept talking about was always pushed back a bit further until he got them. Eventually, he had half-a-million troops under his command, and even when he did win great victories (Khe Sahn, Tet, Hue), he somehow managed to still lose.

Anyways, lovely bit of revisionist history here:

"Look, the Americans call us terrorists; what terrorist act did we ever commit? They traveled 10,000 miles to us and forced us to wage jihad against the Russians, who were their enemies, and now they are waging a war against us. We are Afghans and Afghanistan is our country. All we want is for the Americans to leave us alone; only then will there be peace in Afghanistan."

Until they start fighting each other over who gets to molest the donkeys, of course. Yeah, we forced them to fight the Russians...asshat.

"This is Why We Want To Kill You..."

Faisal Shahzad, the Times Square Bomber speaks after being sentenced to Life in Prison.

If you are one of those people who didn't "get it" before, do you get it now? They don't want democracy. They don't want free-market capitalism. They aren't "envious of our freedoms". They want us dead. Just because.

Get these fucking people out of the country, and then slam the door shut. Instead of building schools and sewers in Baghdad, we should be building piles of corpses. Employ the Scorched Earth policy from Algiers to Aden, from Indonesia to Islamabad. It's been nine years, and despite multiple proclamations of "Victory" in the War on Terror, by two Presidents and I've forgotten how many Generals, it still seems to escape the notice of those in high places that these people are absolutely fucking batshit insane; they make no distinction between "guilty" and "innocent"; they don't recognize any legal niceties like peace treaties or Presidential utterances; they regard a withdrawal of troops not as a sign of peace, but as an excuse to start the fighting anew. They have no sense of gratitude, otherwise how to explain why it is that having "freed millions of Muslims" from the oppression of Saddam Hussein and the Taliban, having been Pakistan and the "Palestinian Authority's" only source of cash for two generations, having sacrificed American lives to liberate Kuwait, save Saudi Arabia, and protect Bosnian Muslims from the tender mercies of the Serbian death squads, they still insist on killing us?

To listen to the jihadis, and the people who defend them, they're innocent victims. Sure, they drive car bombs into daycare centers, send the mentally ill out to wander the streets wired with explosives, machine gun people in marketplaces, try to blow up airliners in mid-air, and have a long, sordid history of unspeakable violence and depravity going all the way back to the idiot who invented the piece of shit they call a religion, but they insist they only have peaceful intentions, and when some Muslim action that obviously cannot be regarded as peaceful occurs, it's almost always an act of self-defense, a cultural misunderstanding, or a reaction to the "lack of respect" shown to the Muslim world. We've always deserved it.

The only real defense against people this crazy, this delusional, this arrogant in their own stupidity, is to kill them. Take the gloves off, already, and let the American Military do what it's supposed to do best: break things and make people bleed.

Faizal Shahzad is not unique. He is not a"lone individual" driven by his personal demons; he's part of a culture that accepts murder, and is expected to commit murder under any circumstances and by any means, in the name of their phony-baloney God. Murder and terrorism have always been the tools of the Modern Islamic Nutjob, just as they were the tools of the very first Islamic Nutjob. There isn't enough prison space to hold these guys, not enough psychologists to unravel the sordid tale of interrupted breast feeding, poor potty training, and the legions of western girls who laughed at their tiny tallywhackers, or simply denied them sex (because, at heart, lack of sex, or sexual deviance, is the motivation of the Modern Western Jihadi) to handle this problem easily. This is not a criminal matter, nor is it a problem that lends itself to diplomatic solutions.

Pakistan has nukes.Iran will soon get nukes. Afghanistan is very close to being a lost cause, seeing as how after a President who fought there half-heartedly, we have a new one who's objective seems to be how to surrender gracefully. Iraq is far from pacified, and even though we've withdrawn troops the various political and religious sects within the country will continue fighting for many years, killing one another. Turkey is becoming more-and-more radicalized by the day. In many European cities, there are so many Muslims that they form de-facto states-within-a-state, and because of their inability to assimilate into European life these morons are even easier to "radicalize" than their Middle Eastern compatriots. The stage is being set for the unthinkable: one day soon, some Islamic Lunatic is going to decide that the West Must Die, and an Islamic nuke will find it's way into a European or American city, transported there by Muslims living in the West, pissed off and running to the mosque to get radicalized because they can't get a blond to throw 'em a blowjob, or because we insist that they use soap and deodorant.

It's all ever-so humiliating, you see.

And they'll be justified, they believe, because avenging "the humiliation" they feel at living here and enduring our disgusting notions of hygiene, liberty, capitalism and tolerance, and their desire to resurrect "the glories" of the old Islamic Caliphate -- who's greatest achievements boil down to the suicide belt packed with nails and the IED, and a generation of inbred, mental-defectives willing to use them -- is the only way to feel better about themselves. Theirs is a culture so inferior to our own, and they know it to be, that it has become inherently dangerous to us to allow it to continue to survive and prosper. We're wasting our own lives and treasure trying to prove how "sensitive" we are instead of fighting for our lives. The other side figures that's an even better reason to kill us; we pity them, on some level.

We're not dealing with rational human beings here. Take the fucking kid gloves off, already.

Burning Korans for Fun and Prophet...

There's some douchebag preacher in Florida who plans to burn the Koran on September 11th. Big fucking deal. It's clear he's out to get himself and his church some publicity, and The Church probably needs money -- because God never seems to have any -- and I'm certain there's a little boy, a mistress, or a gay threesome somewhere in Pastor Jim's past that needs to stay hidden. There almost always is, regardless of denomination; That collar is the perfect camouflage for the sexual predator or deviant.

I'm not linking to anything on the protest itself, because I'm not giving a religious nutjob any free pub.

Be that as it may, this idea of burning Korans in the public square has raised some serious questions about the nature of protest, the First Amendment, our views as Americans, and whether or not we actually believe in the ideals of this nation, as written by Jefferson in the Declaration of Independence, lo so many years ago.

Actually, the question is far less complex or sophisticated. It is, simply, this:

At what point do you find a protest that involves burning something not named Barney Frank or Usama Bin Laden to be pretty fucking lame?

If the guy wants to burn Korans, I really don't care. Here's the conventional-wisdom argument against it: I think we're beyond the times when such an action has any shock value to anyone, and all it will accomplish is to inflame Muslims (you mean they can get even more stupid-loony?), and yada, yada, yada. To those who make the argument that doing such things "only makes more terrorists", my response is "the only thing the Middle East has ever made is terrorists". They would have made more whether we burned a Koran or not, so what fucking difference does it make?

Go ahead, Redneck Preacher Man; it's just not shocking, funny, or relevant anymore, and will ultimatley mean nothing. Like guitar masses, or NASCAR. I'm sure you're just intelligent enoughto realize this, but can't pass up the oppoprtunity to make yourself "famous", and get a few more donations. What you propose to do is an action that, at some point in time -- nine years ago, to be exact -- would have made sense, but not now. As a form of protest, it seems weak and flabby; like we're re-living the 1960's when so-called men burned their draft cards, and women burned their bras, and everyone burned hemp. Every time I see a protest in which something burns, I'm reminded of those old movies from the 1930's that show the black natives who can't take a piss without first dancing for 20 minutes around a huge bonfire, chanting their war cries and waving their spears, a pork bone stuck through their nose, and their black skin smeared with white warpaint.

Why, I can almost see Fay Ray and the loincloths from here.

It just seems totally anachronistic -- and childish --to me to burn anything at a protest. Glenn Beck just had 400,000 people on the Mall at Washington, D.C. and no one had to burn anything to make their point, did they?

I'm not defending the Koran -- because it's a piece of shit full of the words of a dead child molester, and it deserves to burn -- but I find the whole idea of gathering the media to watch a crowd of inbred swampfolk Bible-thumpers burn books...well, rather retarded. It's lame. It's sad. It's so yawn-inducingly uninteresting. It's soooo Spanish Inquisition, which is pretty funny, since it's Protestants attacking the heresy of Islam this time around.

But, even this stupidity causes the chattering classes to look at "The Big Picture" (which is code for " Your intellectual superiors are about to tell you why you're wrong) .This is one of those times when the undeniable right to be a moron collides with the bigger moral question of "should you be allowed to be a moron for idiocy's sake alone?", an especially important question to ask when a General on the front lines chimes in and insists that doing so puts his troops in greater danger, and makes their mission more difficult.

Note: General Petreus was forced to even take that tame statement back by some of the same chattering (cl)asses who made a stink over his comments. I'll bet the majority of those voices was "conservative", and they only rebuked the General because there's a church involved.

Now, personally, I was always under the impression that the mission should be radically simplified to "just kill anything with laundry on it's head", but then I always was a simple man. Who knew that killing the enemy had to entail a carefully-planned program of symbolism, politics and propaganda?

Quick! Get a Great Big Can of Raid!

Hundreds of Thousand of Muslims Gather For Ramadan.

And while that is happening, we learn that the followers of the Religion of Peace in Afghanistan are celebrating by burning American flags and shouting "Death to America!"

If that doesn't get your blood boiling, Newsweek is now wondering if Americans didn't overreact to the 9/11 attacks.

Considering there are hundreds of thousands of Muslims are gathering in Mecca, others are berating the Great Satan in a land where his soldiers are dying to bring them indoor plumbing and literacy, and a bunch of characters with shady backgrounds and connections to terrorist groups are preparing to build a Victory Monument to Mohammad Atta at Ground Zero, I would say "no", if only because of the fact that there's any Muslim left alive...anywhere.

If it were me, there would have been no invasion of Iraq or Afghanistan, no War on Terror, no lost limbs, no trillion dollars spent to bring civilization to the uncivilized, no debates about waterboarding, no Abu Ghraib, no political discord. Nope, if it were me in the White House on September 11th, the extermination of the Muslims would have begun on September 12th.

Right after breakfast.

It's amazing that Newsweek is still in print, and not so remarkable that it was recently sold to some rich douchebag with no sense for $1.

Fareed Zakaria isn't even worth the bullet I'd like to see put in his brainpan*.

*No, that is not an invitation or exhortation to do anything nasty to Mr. Zakaria. So don't.

An Open Letter to Israel...

Dear Israelis,

Not that my opinion carries any weight, nor do you need my permission, but I'm inclined to agree with you when it comes to the idea that ships entering Gaza need to be searched for contraband. Especially the sort of contraband that goes"BOOM!". After all, it's not as if your next-door neighbors are really nice people who invite you over for coffee and cake all the time, or who will lend you a lawn edger or a cup of sugar when you need one. That's not Ozzy and Harriet next door, the lovely elderly couple that sits on the back porch sipping lemonade, you know.

In fact, those neighbors of yours are downright scary. When they aren't threatening to shove you into the sea, telling anyone who'll listen that Hitler did a lousy job, and complaining ad nauseum about how Grandpa Abdullah lost his 50 acre rock farm because he believed that an army of Arabs could win a war against people who'll actually fight back, then they're lobbing explosives into your housing developments, blowing up public transport or making a trip to the local pizzeria a life-or-death crap-shoot.

I mean, let's face it; it's not as if these so-called Palestinians are rational people. After all, it's not as if they can even take "YES" for an answer. It took them fifty years just to accept the Two-State solution they could have had in 1948, and that's still not good enough. Just look at what they instill in their children, who grow up believing their ultimate goal in life should be a spectacular suicide that takes as many Jews and Infidels with them as they can manage. Let's face it, if there was a Palestinian YouTube, it'd be nothing but wall-to-wall "Martyrdom" videos.

You Israelis are under the gun. Literally. For all the noise these Palestinians make about not wanting anything to do with Jews (except maybe kill them), they then have the nerve to be insulted when you build a fence to keep you apart. They whine and complain and make noises about "Peace", and then find excuses to continue the conflict.

You know what I think about this latest incident, with the boat? I think Hamas is running out of money, and whenever it runs out of money, it creates some sort of incident. The Intifadas were all about money -- Arafat got rich, taking aid from the U.S., U.N., E.U., Saudis, Russians, and others. Was anyones life improved for all those billions? Hell no! But everyone had an AK-47 to fire in the air at Yasser's funeral, didn't they? Palestinians cry that they have no food, no medicine, no electricity or jobs, but somehow fail to notice that everyone is armed to the teeth--courtesy of the Great Satan and all his Little Satans. It's perverse.

So, I don't blame Israel when it decides to board ships as a matter of self-defense. They've found weapons delivered under the cover of "Humanitarian Aid" before. I don't blame Israelis when they build walls, and I certainly cannot find fault with you Jews for simply defending yourself against people who's basic negotiating position is "I must kill Jews because God said so...now give me money!"

In fact, I personally think you don't go far enough. No one is giving you any credit for the incredible restraint shown so far -- if it was me, there wouldn't be all this ruckus because there'd be no Palestinians -- so why not take it one step further? Why not just make it known that the next attack on Israel, the next boat that fails to halt for an inspection, the next unguided rocket, the next sniper, the next suicide bomber-- hell, even the next spitball or dirty look directed at an Israeli -- will result in the elimination of the "Palestinian State" altogether? I rather doubt anyone would notice it was gone, anyway.

Negotiation -- or even simple accommodation -- with Muslims is impossible. They aren't intelligent or rational enough to realize when something is in their best interests,if they even recognize their own interests at all. After all, they follow the words and exploits of a dead child molester who instructed them to walk around a big black rock in the middle of the desert and mutilate their women's vaginas. These are the people who believe that legitimate political discourse involves using airliners as weapons of mass destruction and the beheading the defenseless. These are people who have rules about which hand you can use to wipe your ass. People who submit to having even the most-intimate details of their lives directed in this way are incapable of being reasoned with.

Fuck 'em.

I know you won't take my advice, I mean, even my own government doesn't listen to me -- I begged GWB right here on this page to replace all human life in Iraq and Afghanistan with a genetically-engineered microorganism that eats sand and craps oil as a solution to the problem of Islamic Terrorism, but for some reason he found it necessary to deal with wastes of genetic material named Karzai and Maliki -- that's when he wasn't perpetuating the Big Lie of the Religion of Peace. My way would have saved billions of bucks, and thousands of lives, but there you go; I'm a solutions-oriented kinda guy.

However, if you did find it in your heart to follow my advice, I wouldn't be shocked. Nor would I stand outside the consulate here in New York, like many of the Aging Hippies and the dopey- college-kids-who-went-to-the-protest-in-order-to-get-extra-credit-so-that-they-won't-fail- Famous-Vaginas-in-American-Lit-102-and-get-hassled-by-Mommy-and-Daddy-who-pay-for-the-four-year-kegger.

In fact, I would applaud, because the only real solution to the problems of Islamic Terrorism and Middle East Peace is for one side in this conflict to be convinced that further violence in the name of a failed ideology, a deeply-irrational political system, and a phony religion will ensure that future generations will have even less -- and suffer even more. Unfortunately, the only way to convince these people that they're on the wrong path is to kill them in great numbers in the most terrible ways imaginable, because negotiation, appeasement, bribery, limited responses, diplomacy and embargo don't seem to be getting through to them.

Good Luck, and I hope you sink the next boatload of Commie-Pinko-Terrorist-Abetting douchebags that try another stunt like the one they pulled last week.

The Solution to Terrorism...

Just to avoid another Times Square Bombing, here's my take on what we should do:

1. Take all the guys in Gitmo, the Underwear Bomber, Jose Padilla, Taliban Johnny, and now this latest loser, the Times Square Fuck-Up, and bring 'em to a nice, comfy stadium someplace.

2. Set up lots of video cameras. Especially those ones that are capable of the Super-Slo-Mo in HD.

3. Sell tickets. Maybe $10 a head, and give the money to wounded vets, and the 9/11 cops and firemen who are suffering from sarcoidosis, cancers and immune system deficiencies since they worked on the World Trade Center pile.

4. Have all the Terrorists brought out before the rabid crowd hopped up on vast quantities of Budweiser (The King of Beers! I smell a marketing opportunity here!). March 'em out butt-naked (the terrorists, not the crowd), and with cute little messages painted upon their bodies. Things like "I blow camels", or "I'm afraid of women!", or perhaps "The Man Who Butt-Raped Me in the Madrassah said I was Cute!". My personal favorite would be "I Joined Al'Qaeda and All I got Was This Lousy Dose of Clap From Another Man".

5. Let them all be beaten to death by women and children wielding wooden clubs...with spikes set in 'em. Maybe we could set dogs on 'em, too?

6. Upon confirmation of a death of one of the terrorists, we'll have a brigade of incontinent rabbis standing by to whizz upon the corpses. Make sure the you get at least three cameras on it, and make sure at least one is a Slo-Mo closeup.

7. Slather the bodies in bacon grease, and set them alight.

8. Auction the ashes off on E-Bay, either as a once-in-a-lifetime collector's item, or as a substitute kitty litter.

9. Make sure that video gets picked up by Al-Jazeera, and YouTube. Run it 24/7/365 on basic cable systems all over America. Transmit it over every conceivable wavelength so that no one on Earth capable of receiving any form of electronic signal can possibly miss it.

10. The second the "Festivities" are complete, have the US Military begin the process of turning the heart of the Middle East (Iraq, Iran and Afghanistan) into a vast wasteland incapable of supporting human life. No more building schools, no more bringing clean water to barbarians, no more defending the next generation of Saddam Husseins and Mullah Omars behind American guns. No more Foreign Aid. We'll then issue the Great Challenge to American Science, and have them genetically-engineer an amoeba of some sort that'll eat sand and crap oil, and begin the process of repopulating the region with a more useful lifeform than Muslims.

No more visas for anyone coming fromt he Middle East, and the ones already here ought to get some deeper, and much more uncomfortable, scrutiny.

And yeah, that's hate speech, but fuck 'em. I'm getting tired of sexually-frustrated nutjobs deciding God told them it's a good idea to blow my city to smithereens.

I've said it before, and I'll say it again; This War on Terror has always been short on the War part, and no one is terrorizing and killing the Muslims who started it. Until someone does this, it's simply a (very-expensive to the US Taxpayer) Public-Relations Campaign With Guns, and they'll keep trying whether the singular nutcase or the grand, organized affair.

But...But...It's the Religion of Peace!

So, it appears as if the forces of anti-terrorism have gotten their man (at least they've gotten A man) with regards to the Times Square attempted-bombing. From what I know at this point, we're dealing with a naturalized Pakistani, who tried very hard not to leave a paper trail, and went out of his way to try and hide his activities.

The three biggest breaks in this case seem to have been an alert t-shirt vendor, a bomb that didn't explode leaving evidence up-the-ying-yang to examine, and a would-be-jihadi who apparently had no intention of dying in the course of his would-be martyrdom operation, and so tried to escape. If The Other Side is now down to the Bad News Bears without the Death Wish, we're probably winning this thing -- but don't speak too soon, right?

So, "good job" FBI, NYPD and Homeland Security. Here's your well-deserved pat on the back.

Now, I'd like to smack someone in the mouth. Actually, several someones. You know who you are; You're the ones who, despite the evidence to the contrary, always insist that we "should not leap to conclusions about Islamic involvement in terrorism". Who continually remind us, in the face of the litany of car bombings, hostage-taking, honor-killing, IED's, sectarian violence, the protracted nature of the Arab-Israeli conflict, September 11th, London and Madrid Bombings, The Undibomber, amongst countless other incidents, that Islam is really a religion of peace, and that if Muslims are trying to kill Americans, it's only because we've done them wrong and should apologize...or buy them a fruit basket...or something.

Peaceful religions don't have the words (paraphrasing) "It is the duty of the faithful to kill the unbeliever..." on Page One of the Secret Handbook. Peaceful religions don't worship death, or even worse, welcome and celebrate it. The Jihadi vision of "Paradise" looks an awful lot like a fratboy's wet dream -- flowing wine, wall-to-wall-virgins with no gag reflex -- and all you have to do to get it is to blow yourself up, making sure you take as many bystanders as you can with you. A religion dedicated to peaceful co-existence with the rest of the planet doesn't tell it's young men that the path to Heaven requires a spectacular suicide.

That's not a religion of Peace. That's a Cult of Death. It's a faith born of helplessness and fear, dedicating it's energies to more of the same. An Anti-Faith. There's a reason why these people are stuck in a 7th-century mentality that prevented them from coming to terms with the Modern World ("Progress" is another enemy of the Jihadi), and which is in large part responsible for the frustration which turns them into bombers -- there is nothing in Islam that gives one a rosy vision of the future, there's no redeeming quality to the religion. It's great "strength" is to assure it's followers that once they have killed off, converted or enslaved all the Infidels, they will create an endless "Present" where tomorrow will resemble today just as much as it resembled yesterday...forever.

God has ordained what will happen, and there is nothing the faithful can do to alter that future, or to take part in it. All they're required to do is simply submit to His Will and take what He gives them.

I'm no great believer in the Invisible Man in the Sky myself, but at least Christianity and Judaism give you something to look forward to other than a steady diet of The Same Forever. In some ways, it's the duty of the Jew or Christian to champion the causes of Progress, scientific knowledge, of art and medicine, and everything else that makes us what we are, because it's also their duty to prepare the Earth for the Messiah -- either his appearance or re-appearance -- and therefore, there's at least an implied duty to strive for improvement of both human condition and our society.

Islam simply kills indiscriminately. Had that bomb gone off, it would have killed a representative cross-section of American society: the t-shirt vendor, the cop and fireman, the teacher, the teenager, a pensioner, an accountant or businessman or two, a few housewives, a host of little children, a ditch-digger, crane operator and a hockey player. It would have killed Blacks, Whites, Asians, Hispanics, and those with purple polka-dots. It would have killed or maimed Jews, Christians, Buddhists, and those who believe in the healing power of their Lucky Astrology Mood Watch, and the irony is that it's likely a Muslim or two would have been incinerated, as well. They would have died because their great sin was to be who they are (free people, enjoying the benefits of a free society) instead of being what the jihadis want them to be (dead, enslaved, dispossessed, preferably all three). That's why The Religion of Peace tries so hard, and so often, to kill people who have done them no harm whatsoever.

And the element of randomness would just have served to spread that atmosphere of fear and helplessness which Islam feeds upon. That's how Islam counts it's "victories"; how many innocent victims, fear factor, and inability of the victims to fight back. Yeah, they're real men. I'll bet none of them can get it up without an explosion. Anyways...

When Christians and Jews start parking car bombs on crowded streets, when Jews and Christians start launching unguided rockets randomly into their neighbors' gardens, when Christians and Jews start blowing themselves up on Public Transport to get attention, then the "But, it's a Religion of Peace" crowd's attempts at moral equivalence might have some merit. In light of the fact that Christians and Jews do not do these things, they should probably partake of a great big glass of Shut The Fuck Up.

Your nonsense about peaceful intentions and complaints about a whole people being tarred by the actions of a few discounts My Life Experience. Here, in my own city, I have had to dodge hijacked airliners, stay away from bridges, take caution in the subways, get off ferries because of bomb threats, evacuate buildings because of anthrax fears, pass through streets lined by machine-gun toting cops with gas masks -- and now you can't even walk the goddamned streets for fear of some religious nutcase with a death wish deciding that today is the day he gets his 72 virgins. Today might be the day he decides American society will finally pay for his inability to get the blond girls (whom the Imams have told him his entire life were immoral sluts with no shame, or standards), and get them to have scads of wild and consequence-free sex with him.

Because, frankly, this is indeed what all this Jihadi shit is about; Not Peace, but Sex. Or, rather, the lack of it. If these guys got laid more (and we're not counting each other or farm animals) they'd probably mellow out, pray a lot less, and stop crafting suicide belts. Instead, they wrap their women up in rugs, herd them like cattle and sequester them. They have arranged marriages, usually to first-cousins. These guys often become radicalized because they can't get it on, and the ones who become radicalized after being stateside or in Europe for a while, do so because they can't get the Western girls. The insult, the inferiority complex that comes with rejection from a woman whom your culture insists is an inferior being, and exists solely for your pleasure, drives them absolutely bonkers.

I'll bet that when they examine this latest asshole, they'll find a Western chick who turned him down, or laughed at his tiny tallywhacker. Betcha he also has a long list of credit card receipts from escort services. Gitmo must be full of those kinds.

Islam, and the problem of Islamic terrorism, has very little, in the final analysis, to do with Peace. It's usually about Sex and Power -- and insanity -- and the feeble attempts of the "Islam is a Peaceful religion" crowd ultimately serve as little more than another weapon in the suicidally-sexually-frustrated jihadi's arsenal. Unfortunately, those people are the ones who typically get killed last. Because they typically surrender first.

I hope those people enjoy the non-stop ass-rape they'll be getting in the world they're helping to create, in which the Religion of Peace stands triumphant and the bomb-building deviants are let loose to do their worst with the full approval of God.

In the meantime, about that War on Terror thing; it's been awfully short on War (there's still Muslims left alive, you know) and they're still exporting Terror.

Update: The first two people on the list to get the piss beat out of them shoudl be Geraldo Rivera and Mayor Micheal Bloomberg, who couldn't consider the possibility of an Islamic terorrist, and convinced that any terrorism nowadays must be connected to Tea Parties and opposition to Obama, instead decided to Blame the White Christian Heterosexual Males. for the attempted bombings before any evidence had been collected, or arrests made. Chances are good Geraldo will not apologize anytime soon. Bloomberg has already been on television this morning -- and said not a word about it.

Good Thing There's a War on Terror, Huh?

The NY Daily News lists the roster of terrorists captured on American soil, or American citizens arrested on suspicion of terrorist ties, or conspiracy to commit terrorist acts.

Most of them were captured on American Soil. In other words, they are homegrown jihadis, emigres, and domestic terrorists.

Please take note of what religion the majority on the list tend to follow. Ill give you a hint; it starts with an "I", and they permit you to kill your female children who refuse to marry their first cousins.

It's a good thing we're not at war with that religion, or it's "moderate" practitioners, we're policing our borders and going after the bad guys in Iraq and Afghanistan so that we don't have to fight them here...

Now I Know Why The War Isn't Over Yet...

The United States Army is infected by political correctness. We've seen it on the battlefield where commanders are often trying to accommodate the enemy ("win their hearts and minds"), rather than kill him. We see it in the way the brass ties itself up in knots over the "Don't Ask Don't Tell" policy, and that's when the Army isn't struggling mightily to excuse the behavior of a psychopath that was recruited, trained, promoted and protected -- because bringing Major Hassan's behavior, activities and attitudes to light might have cost someone OTHER THAN Maj. Hassan their career -- until he went on a shooting spree and killed 13 of his fellow soldiers.

As Colonel Tom Collins (perhaps he drinking some) made clear in the article:

"...We're an all-inclusive military," Collins said. "We honor all faiths. ... Our message to our service and civilian work force is about the need for diversity and appreciation of all faiths...."

Now, it's also about sensitivity to the enemy's feelings; Franklin Graham, son of Evangelist Preacher Billy Graham, had been invited to attend a National Day of Prayer ceremony at the Pentagon, but that invitation has been rescinded, because...wait for it...the Army has decided that Graham is an "inappropriate" speaker because he once made disparaging remarks about...Islam.

What did Graham say?

"...Graham, the son of famed evangelist Billy Graham, in 2001 described Islam as evil. More recently, he has said he finds Islam offensive and wants Muslims to know that Jesus Christ died for their sins...."

Now, I'm not one to defend faith, as I think it's a disgusting little bit of self-delusion that people have used in a variety of ways for centuries, mostly for evil, but this is insane. In case no one told the US Army, the enemy is Islamic, and although we keep trying to make distinctions between "Good" and "Bad" Muslims, the truth is that there really isn't any such distinction to be made. Islam is not a religion, although it plays one of TV; it's a system by which total control can be exercised over those infected with it. The Nazis and Soviet Communists would have been green with envy, because Islam succeeded where they both failed.

And it's overarching principle is this: you are permitted to rape, murder, destroy, forcibly convert, steal, and enslave, so long as the victims aren't other Muslims. It's like an excuse to unleash the very worst in human nature while giving the perpetrators the ability to justify it, and thus, avoid the guilt normal people feel. This is the driving impulse behind Islam: the True Believer is directed to spread the system by the sword, violence is the means by which Islam found it's way out of the depths of the Arabian deserts and was carried to the four corners of the globe. The Islamic Warrior is supposed to be ruthless, dedicated, violent, and intimidating, because when he applies these tools in a whatever convoluted way his "religion" desires, he's promised a place in Heaven for it.

In our military, if you punch a terrorist in the stomach, they bring you up on charges. Under Islam, if you walk into an Israeli kindergarten with explosive boxer shorts, you're a martyr to the cause, and celebrated as a hero.

That's what Franklin Graham denigrated. A sick, sorry, twisted excuse for religion, practiced by the absolute dregs of the Earth. That, United States Army, is who the enemy is. Not Rev. Graham, but the guys dressed in the pile of dirty laundry with the RPG's and the death wish.

I say let Franklin Graham pray in front of the Pentagon all he wants; if that's what the troops want, then that's fine. Also because every time he does (and others like him do) it annoys the fuck out of the Towelheads, and we should never pass up an opportunity to make them, at the very least, uncomfortable. Especially since no one's making any great effort to KILL them in the tens of millions.

I'm going to go out on a (not-much-of) a limb here and guess that whoever made this decision is probably an Obama appointee , because this is the sort of niggling (OMG! Did you really just use the "N-Word", you racist?) stupid, anal-retentive detail that would consume the waking thoughts of a good little Libtard who understands Her (it's gotta be a Her) marching orders and Her place within the Libtard pecking order.

In fact, it wouldn't surprise me at all if this was simply an offshoot of the other Libtard who won a court case last week in which it was determined that the National Day of Prayer was a violation of the First Amendment.

This war would have been over a very long time ago had someone simply remembered that wars are won by making the enemy suffer, horribly, so as to destroy confidence in his System and Way of Life, while steadily degrading his ability to continue the fight. Apparently, the Rules have been rewritten to ensure that we kill no one, rebuild everything we bomb (and they re-bomb, and re-re-bomb), and that we make no disparaging remarks about the enemy's culture.

There's no longer any need to wonder why we're still in Iraq and Afghanistan, and why Iran has decided that we're all bark and no bite. The United States Army is not only reluctant to kill the enemy, it'll now make sure we don't insult him, either.

(Ed. Note: this is not a scathing indictment of the troops being shot at, it's a denigration of their leadership, which is consumed by Political Correctness. I'm certain that if the leadership took the leash off, the Troops would make a pile of dead Muslims that would reach into space, and never again would any Islamic nutjob raise as much as an eyebrow in our direction).

Bill Clinton is Talking out of His Ass...Again...

There was a deliberately planned effort to gas infants and toddlers at Waco in order to get the Branch Davidians to give up.

Let me repeat that: Bill Clinton and Janet Reno deliberately gassed children. They engaged in a calculated program of physical and psychological torture in order to end a siege that inept Federal Law Enforcement -- more concerned with showing off it's toys and tactics than enforcing the actual law, at the time -- created by eschewing the relatively-simple prospect of arresting David Koresh while he was at the supermarket, and instead chose to storm the Branch Davidian Compund.

And by the way, the word "Compound" is even suspect; it makes it sound as if this was some sort of Fortress of Doom. It was a church, with outbuildings, on an old farm. Why is it that when the word "Compound" is applied to the Kennedys, it's supposed to evoke visions of regal splendor, but when it's applied to a bunch of religious mental patients, it's an indication of Nazi tendencies and sedition? Oh, right, I forgot; propaganda, and all that.

You know, I wonder what Bill Clinton -- and especially the people On His Side of the Political Spectrum -- would have to say if you asked them the following question;

Given that Bill Clinton ordered the intentional infliction of physical and psychological pain against enemies of the State, by use of gunfire, toxic gasses, loud rock music and other noises, withholding of food, water and fuel, intentionally inflicting physical discomfort, withholding medical care from the wounded, and attempting to manipulate the emotional state of the Branch Davidians to effect their surrender, which resulted in the deaths of 80 people -- including 25 children who were NOT targets of the original Law Enforcement action -- just What, then, is your objection to waterboarding terrorists captured upon an actual battlefield in military actions which have Congressional authorization?

Compared to what Bill Clinton and Janet Reno did at Waco, every detainee at Gitmo is on vacation.

When Bill isn't conveniently forgetting his own repressive past, he's screaming that Tea Parties are a mortal threat to democracy and decency, and will lead some of the more weak-willed amongst us to do terrible, nasty things. Unfortunately some of the more weak-willed amongst us have already done terrible, nasty things. They come from all walks of life; they are Congressmen who make false accusations of racism, they're Union Thugs who attempt to disrupt public meetings and beat up people who stand up to them, there are racial hustlers who equate honest and principled disagreement with President Obama as a re-emergence of the Klan, and the next-best-thing to the re-implementation of slavery.

Bill's repeated assertion that American citizens utilizing their rights to assembly, free speech and petition of the government and their elected officials about their legitimate grievances sounds much like the old European Monarchists did when they argued that the Crown was beyond reproach. Curiously, this argument (the Throne is sacrosanct and it's Majesty should not be ridiculed, or even questioned) is the very same argument many Old-Line European Conservatives would have used -- and often did -- to justify the worst abuses of Royal Power and Authority.

Someone who's this clueless -- and this guilty -- should really just shut his fat yap, already, and hide in shame. Of, course, I've forgotten that Bill has no shame.

Why The Liberal View of How the World Views Us, is Seriously Wrong...

I'm writing this in response to what passes for Foreign Policy in the Time of Obama. It's hard to know where, exactly, to begin. I guess I could speak to the stagnation, if not collapse, of the Old Trans-Atlantic alliances in which Obama curries the favor of France and Germany (so that they'll appear to do more in Afghanistan), but snubs Britain (who has been there since Day One, and in Iraq, too), even going as far as to send the British PM home with Consolation Prizes that wouldn't make the First-Loser's Cut on Jeopardy.

Or, I might be start with Israel, where it's apparently Obama Admin boilerplate that The Joos simply must conspire in their own demise if the so-called Peace Process isn't to be exposed as the sham that it always was. The Peace Process (or rather the Process of having a Process) has become a goal in itself. It seems that the ultimate purpose of this mystical Peace Process in the last 30 years has been more a means by which American Presidents can garner the favor of People Who Shouldn't Really Count, at the expense of The People We Can Really Count Upon. The latest brouhaha over some Israelis wanting to add second bedrooms, or perhaps redo the kitchen, is ridiculous. Especially when the Other Side in this Dispute keeps as it's base negotiating position that Israel in general, and the Jews in particular, shouldn't exist -- and they're entitled to do the exterminating as both a religious and political imperative.

How about that lovely little hatchet job the Obamatards did on Hamid Karzai? I have no love for the man, either, but he is Our Bastard Child. The Master Plan for Afghanistan seems to be something like this:

1. Talk tough in front of the Teleprompter and TV Cameras about how you're "Fightin' the Extremists".

2. Blame George Bush.

3. Apply some Rah-Rah Bullshit, mention Bin Laden a few times, and let everyone know he's still out there. And that George Bush and John McCain still haven't gotten him,

4. Ignore the requests and requirements of the Generals who will actually fight the war, send just enough troops to appear to be doing something -- but not enough to finish the job before your previously-announced, 2011 pull-out date. Launch a few missiles from some drones. Make certain you've dithered over even this watered-down strategy for six months, and claim it as an example of Obama's "superior and reasoned response to the problems of terrorism".

5 Fuck Hamid Karzai in the rear on our way out, so that once we're gone, he can have a full-fledged civil war on his hands, returning Afghanistan to it's natural, pristine state of multi-cornered, multi-ethnic fighting, with a dash of poisonous religious undertones provided by a Taliban that managed to survives all that War-on-Terror-in-Name-Only Stuff. Democracy will have been strangled in the cradle in Afghanistan (not that it would have had much of a chance to begin with), but that's okay, because you can always...

6. Blame George Bush.

As for the rest of the planet, it seems the Obamatard Foreign Policy revolves around three central tenets:

1. Apologize for being the United States, and all that entails,

2. Beg the rest of the World to Love Us. And their incentive to do so will not be because we're a beacon for Freedom, the ultimate Hope of Mankind, it'll be because we're willing to change to suit their wants and tastes.

3. Get the photos of Obama surrounded by Foreign Leaders at the Sham Summit Meeting, which results in an International Treaty that Does Nothing, but which makes him look all Presidential and Important and Relevant in that dramatic Great-Man-of-History-Way that Stalin had down to a tee.

This is wrong. Americans should never apologize, for anything, and American Presidents should not behave this way just to get their faces and exaggerated claims of their greatness into the History Books. Because, to be honest, it's not Americans who have the problem in terms of being liked and being important, it's the Rest of the World that does. Specifically, it has do with them Wanting to Be America, but failing miserably. The World has an inferiority complex; every culture, every nation, secretly longs to have what America has, to be what America IS. They may not want what we have to the same extent that we have it (granted, a 24-hr , Drive-through window at KFC, Jersey Shore and Top Chef may be going a bit too far), but they want it all the same.

I've been all over the world, traveling on vacations or business. I have been acquainted with many people from many foreign nations and cultures. They're pretty much all assholes. I'm sure they say the same thing about me. I don't claim any specific expertise on this subject, but it seems to me (I'm generalizing, yes) that We spend far too much time trying to Please and Understand Those Assholes -- as if we are somehow, mystically responsible for making "the first move" in the process of creating the Kumbaya Planet. Perhaps it's time The Other Assholes made an effort to Please and Understand US.

I don't mean to say that The Others aren't entitled to their opinions and feelings (unless they're Arabs, in which case their opinions don't count because they're prejudiced by a belief in a child-molesting murderer who says God gave his people special permission to kill, rape, rob and enslave those who don't believe in him, too), what I'm saying is that it's not necessary for us to compromise our beliefs and principles, to change who we are, just to satisfy them. Because it's often not worth the effort.

Also, because History (the very subject President Douchebag and most Liberals seem allergic to)shows that when the compromise is all one way, someone's getting screwed.

Either we are a country which honors it's founding principles by standing up for and promoting them, by finishing the tasks and challenges we set before ourselves, that is Proud of Who We Are, or we're the New Canada -- and our overarching goal is to simply be the Most Popular Girl on Campus. Not surprisingly, the Most Popular Girl On Campus often happens to be a whore who's popularity is usually based upon the fact that she will do The Things the Other Girls Won't. Her popularity is derived from her willingness to give her honor and self-respect away, often for nothing more than the appearance of being liked. She is never respected, no matter how many football players she takes on.

We are not a nation of Whores -- except for our Political Class -- and when President Bambi bows before dictators, half-heartedly fights wars he's put an expiration date on, signs meaningless scraps of paper just to give the appearance of having done something dramatic and effective, and abandons, insults and undercuts our allies -- just so our enemies might like us a little bit more -- he's doing far more damage to the United States, and imperilling our lives.

Our Enemies don't want to find reasons to Like Us; they just want us Dead. If they can't have that, they're willing to settle for the next-best-thing -- An America which will drop to it's knees and be their bitch, substituting self-worth for the appearance of approval.

I personally could give a shit if the Chinese, Russians, Iranians and Belgians approve of Me. They are cultures which are already on their way down the toilet -- between the imbalance in Chinese population caused by the One Child Policy, The State-sanctioned Criminality of Moscow, the stagnation of a culture run by Religious Fanatics with an Apocalyptic Worldview, or the declining birthrates of a Hedonistic Society which is Importing it's own Demographic Doom from amongst it's enemies -- they will not survive in their current form, and their futures are very bleak, indeed.

Why seek approval from the Doomed, the Criminal, and Impenetrably Stupid? Especially when they're marching towards the Oblivion they've created for themselves with their eyes wide open? Fuck 'em, I say. We're their ultimate salvation (and I don't mean that in the religious sense) and part of the process of making them see this is not to change in order to curry their favor; doing this simply means we're adopting their manners and customs and modes of thought -- the very things which are destroying them in the first place -- for very shallow reasons. There's no return on investment in acting that way.

President Odickhead will be very rudely reminded of that fact sometime in the near future, when all of his careful "engagement" of Iran results in a mushroom cloud over Tel Aviv, and a resurgent Taliban is shipping terrorists and Anthrax into Atlanta.
