An excellent blog post from Steve Sailer about why it is Liberals can never win an argument on facts, reason, and logic, and instead resort to tears and name calling.
Mostly, it's because they're all little crybaby, bed-wetting, thumb-sucking momma's boys who wear purty pink panties that have a tendency to get bunched every five minutes. It's the legacy of feminism and multi-culturalism that the once- Male Virtues of Free Thinking and Intellectual Acuity have been downgraded, and our political discourse has suffered greatly for it.
It's the primary reason why we got saddled with Nancy Pelosis, Hillary Clintons, Debbie Wasserman-Schultzes, and Barack Obamas, because to tell the indisputable truth about anything is to hurt someone's feelings, and therefore, make any salient point null-and-void in the minds of the truly brain dead.
This helps explain a lot of what has been happening in American society and politics for the last 30 years, at least.
Enjoy.
Insanity is not a disease; it's a defense mechanism. The opinions expressed here are disturbing and often disgusting to those with no sense of humor. I make no apologies for them, either. Contact the Lunatic at Excelsior502@gmail.com.

OMG! Iowahawk Reads My Twitter Feed!
I feel just like I imagine Marcia Brady did when she met Davy Jones! *Sigh* If only Iowahawk would sing to me...
For some reason -- probably because I'm very bad at Twitter or something -- I've only just noticed this today. A big thank you to Iowahawk for finding me at least marginally interesting enough to garner a modicum of his attention. I bow before the master in humble gratitude.
By the way, if you're still not reading Iowahawk on a daily basis you're most likely an unattractive, boring individual, with chronic halitosis, jock itch, and a raging case of scabies, who will never know the touch of another human being, preferably one of the opposite sex.
Be popular! Be sexy! Read Iowahawk and get dates!

Welcoming Some New Friends...
Lots and lots of traffic these last few days from a bunch of really cool sites that shall be added to the Wall of Shame. Visit our new friends regularly, or else.
The first new friends are The Hostages. Great site, lots of useful info and humor, and a really good read.
Next, we have The Daily Timewaster, which pretty much sums up my entire blogging career to date. Go and read something and engage your brain.
Finally, we have a blog belonging to one of our Inmates, BeeSting, called Americans Stand With Israel, which is both a wonderful sentiment and a goddamned good idea. Some pretty good stuff there, go read it.
Thanks much for linking to the Asylum! We appreciate the recognition and the traffic!

A Nod to Some Local Bloggers...
I'd like to call your attention to two blogs that I've recently been introduced to that are written by my fellow Staten Islanders. I want to make it clear that that I agree with neither writer on most things, but, it is important that we do occasionally take stock of someone else's point of view, if only for our own education.
The first blog is Strangers in a Picture, which takes a bleeding-heart liberal view of well...just about everything. I normally would not spend much time reading this sort of stuff, but it is interesting in this regard: it's nice to know what the entitlement class thinks, or even if it thinks, at all. I do not mean this to be a knock on the author, but rather upon her apparent political philosophy. Give it a look see, just to be nice, huh?
The second blog is The Staten Island Wolf, which from what I gather, is the Principled Anarchist's view of things. Truth to tell, I know just about jack-diddly-squat about Anarchy-the-political-philosophy , but the author here at least makes some attempt to put it into a reasonable context so that even an non-indoctrinated doofus like me can make sense of it. This blog at least has something interesting to say.
I'll be putting them up on the Wall of Shame for anyone who may be interested.
And they say Staten Islanders are dumb? Look, some of us can actually write!

This Past Weekend...
Here's some stuff you may have missed last weekend:
My weekly commentary is up on Diogenes' Middle Finger. Go read that blog, or I will be forced to hurt you.
New scientific research indicates that the appellation "Native American" may not be an accurate one. Apparently, there were people here in the Americas before Tonto and Montezuma, which I guess means that the entire Native American establishment of guilt and grievance can now be considered complete and utter bullshit.
Well, except for the smallpox bit...
I'm wondering if Elizabeth Warren, Ward Churchill, and the casino-owning Indian mafia will change their tune. I figure, no, because being obnoxious crybabies has worked for them so far, why quit over something like a little revision of history? I guess now we know why the Indian authorities were so quick to prevent study of Kennewick man, and to get his dead ass buried so quickly before anyone found out he was (maybe) white.
Now, if Kennewick Man's People were wiped out by the ancestors of the current Reservation-dwelling Indians, does this mean some asswipe lawyer could sue for reparations on Kennewick Man's behalf, and make a fucking killing? Just askin' if it's possible, finally, for one of these "aggrieved minority groups" we're saddled with to get their comeuppance.
Genius of the Month Award: Two Chicago douchebags kill a man, and would have probably gotten away with it, had they not been dumb enough to post a video of the murder on Facebook. I'm waiting for some Unionized asshole or politician, because you know one will step forward with this argument, to say that this case is a clear indication that Chicago's Public Schools are "underfunded'.
Personally, I think it's an indication that Chicago's goons are mollycoddled and the decent citizenry disarmed, but I'm not a libtard.
Mark Steyn writes about the convergence of Obamania and The Arab Spring in this delightful little ditty. Message: Youth is wasted on the stupid, and the Media is wasted, period.

Some Stuff You Should Read...
Here's a few things I wanted to give y'all a heads-up about, but forgot to.
We begin with the Esteemed Mr. Mark Steyn, and his assertion that when Americans voted in a fit of mixed stupidity, fear, and psychosis in 2008, they couldn't have done a worse job in picking a President if they had all been drunk and strung out on anti-depressants on top of it all.
After all, they elected a bigger phony than one might have imagined.
Somehow, one gets the impression that Steyn really wanted to title that column "Dear America: You're So Fucking Stupid". Read it, learn the lesson, don't make the same mistake again.
Jonah Goldberg seconds this assertion in this lovely piece, only one gets the distinct impression that he would have preferred the title "You Voted for this Douchebag? Thanks a lot!" instead of the one he actually used.
Of course, our old friend Professor Hanson sums up the defects in Barack Obama, The Obama Years, The Obama Policies, and liberals (small 'l' intentional) in general. This is a MUST READ; it's a very good explanation of why Barack Obama will be quite possibly very lucky to be leaving Washington, DC on January 21st 2013 with his life.
Cool Video:
And just in case you've missed it, here's Barack Obama, the Least Interesting Man in the World.

The Big Feed...
I would like to draw your attention to a fascinating blog called The Big Feed.
Besides being visually stunning, it's also quite interesting, a wonderful read, and often as funny as a crippled Libtard. Which is quite funny, actually, if you've ever heard a crippled Libtard screaming in pain after he's fallen off his pansy-ass bicycle in a horrid explosion of granola and spandex.
Anyways, The Big Feed has been added to the blogroll, and the good folks over there have cross-linked with the Asylum, and we see this as the beginning of a mutually beneficial relationship.
So long as we don't have to sign a pre-nup.
Glad to have you aboard!
You people will read it; you people will enjoy it. If you don't, the Asylum Elves are readying their Stealth Enema Gear in preparation for a night HALO drop and a surprise commando raid on your ass. You've been warned.

A Conservative Blog? Humbug!
One of the really neat things about Blogger is that Google has provided the writer with a cool bunch of fairly basic, but often interesting, analytic tools which can be used to track certain aspects of your blogs’ audience.
One of these is the “Traffic Sources” tool that gives you some information about how people managed to find you. There is a subsection of this analytic which is called “search terms” which details how many readers were directed your way by using various search terms within their web browser. Very often, people will enter a rather vague or strange search term, for example, the ever popular “Leslie Marshall Tits”, and lo and behold! They wind up finding the Lunatic’s Asylum!
Now, I have never written about Leslie’s hooters in a real sense, except in response to the apparently mammary-obsessed idiot who keeps coming here in the hopes, one would think, of seeing an image or perhaps reading a fascinating description of Leslie’s Sweatermeat, only to leave woefully disappointed.

This Past Week...
Right, it's been a light week here at the Asylum, as I have had other things to do and unfortunately could not spew caustic venom as much as you would like. But some nice things did happen this week, as well.
Pop on over the Insane Asylum, where my Brother From Another Mother, Mr. Chap, has been furiously scouring the internet for only the finest, choicest morsels of everyday insanity to poke fun at. While you're there, you can check out my latest on the bizarre circumstances behind a Klansman's political endorsement of a former Black Panther. You should also read everything else on offer, because Mr.Chap and Nena Grace have a handsome baby boy to keep in diapers and strained beets, and every pageview helps!
My last offering, about Obama and George Orwell is posted this very morn at Diogenes' Middle Finger. As always, I thank Diogenes Sarcastica for allowing me another platform from which to influence the youth of America. As to whether that's a healthy thing or not, I leave it to you to decide. Quite frankly, I'm personally afraid of what might happen if your youngins were left entirely to my care and wisdom. They might grow up to be chain smoking, salty-talking curmudgeons who would rather stick hatpins in their own eyes than vote democrat (small 'd' intentional).
And you wouldn't want that, would you?
Anyhow, you can follow us at Facebook now. I have a fan page...still under construction...but I have one. The thought of fans creeps me out, but this is what one is compelled to do in this age of social networking media, so there's nothing for it. You can also follow both the Insane Asylum and Diogenes' Middle Finger blogs at Facebook, and I suggest that you do, or I might be forced to sell those revealing pictures of you and the donkey to your local newspaper, and that would be a terrible way for you wife to find out you weren't at the convention in Wichita Falls, now, isn't it?

This Past Weekend...
In case you missed it all:
I have a new post up on the Insane Asylum, attempting to answer the...umm...burning....question: Is a yeast Infection REALLY a STD.
Over at Diogene's Middle Finger, my opus from this past week on Richard Nixon was reposted, with thanks to Diogenes Sarcastica.
Also, here's some interesting stuff you should read right fucking now:
There is a movement afoot in Sweden to make men sit down to take a piss. This is why Sweden is no longer a world power. And Barack Obama wants to make us more like Scandinavia? I think not!
The Incredible Mark Steyn on Obama's Stupidity, long-windedness, and stunning lack of achievement.
And another Obama Ally, this one an honest-to-God economist, calls Obama's Tenure "the Administration of Financial Confidence and Foodstamps". The rats always jump ship first.

My Influence Grows...
Which might be a bad thing, all things considered.
Anyways, I have been graciously asked -- and have accepted -- a chance to have some of my diseased rantings disseminated on a weekly basis by the Diogenes' Middle Finger blog. Which is kind of cool, if you ask me, because who knew there were that many demented assholes in the United States that find my thought processes interesting?
I appreciate the chance to add something -- just what still remains to be seen -- to a great blog, and the opportunity to reach a bigger audience. Who knows: I could even wind up scoring a regular gig on Hannity for it.
Drag your asses over to DMG and read up; you'll like it very much, and if you don't, you're probably the type that like to tongue kiss the Men's Room floor at your local mosque.
In other blog news, Mr. Chap is back at The Insane Asylum after a forced hiatus. Welcome Back, Mr. C! You were missed. I instruct all regular readers -- and the irregular ones, as well -- to skedaddle back on over there and read something, for the love of all you hold holy. Don't make me have to unleash the Asylum Elves in full combat gear and facepaint. Remember what happened to Bin Laden the last time I did that.

Something To Keep Y'All Busy...
I will be quite busy for the next few days, and shall not be stopping in to blog. I know...it's sad, ain't it? There's a few familial obligations to attend to this weekend, and a whole lot of 'networking' to be done at a few so-called Job Fairs, which are more like cattle calls for gray-haired, middle-aged male PhD's and MBA's who are apparently so desperate for a job that they'll sink to selling Green Energy door-to-door.
Been there, and done that. Oh, and of the two so-called Job Fairs or Job Seminars that I've been to in the past two weeks, they're all selling the same type of job;
You work on a "commission-based system" (that is, for free) for a company that is a fly-by-night subsidiary of a Fortune 1000 that doesn't want to hire you because you cost too much -- what with Social Security taxes, unemployment insurance and fucking ObamaCare. Hopefully, you manage to sell whatever bullshit product they're pushing -- it's such a good product that the company doesn't dare send out it's professional, full-time-pay salesmen to do it for fear of taking them away from the actual lucrative products they normally sell -- to at least recoup your bus fare this week while you're "getting the hang of the sales' thing", and in the meantime, the "company" is either sold without a word, the government-financing runs out, or it goes into bankruptcy, always unexpectedly.
No wonder 30 million people have given up looking for a job.
Anyways, to help keep you entertained for at least a few minutes, I've collected some bits of news and some links for you.to look over. This is all stuff I normally would have blogged about, but for the time constraints and the busy past week, and soon-to-be busier week to come. Enjoy!
Jammie Wearing Fool has moved. Like an idiot, I did not know this. I used to visit JWF just about every day, but then forgot they existed. Which was a big mistake! Visit them today, and have a look-see, or else something seriously bad might happen to your pet Yorkie in the dead of night. Blogroll, belatedly, updated.
Also, it's good to see that Greasywrench has returned to blogging after a long hiatus. You should visit his site, too, if only because you never can quite tell who it was that accidentally-on-purpose cut your brake lines because you didn't. Grease was once an avid supporter of this diseased rant, and this is where I get to pay him off. Go visit.
It goes without saying that if you're STILL not reading Iowahawk regularly then you deserve a big, sloppy tongue kiss from Nancy Pelosi...post her garlic chicken and fried onion luncheon, and only then, after she's licked her own balls as only your dog can. This week's fare is a rib-ticklin' funny-but-sadly-all-too-true Masterpiece of sarcasm and satire.
The American Spectator goes to the Heart of the Sickness Within the Obama Administration. A must-read for those of you who still haven't grapsed the amateurish depravity, or detected the simple-minded, mile-wide Leftoid Fucktard streak in President Odoofus that causes him to go all gay and shit.
John Derbyshire tells the truth about The Establishment Right (and you know who you are, Rich Lowry, and the rest of the frat-boy wing of the conservative movement!). I did not know Derb was ill, and wish him well. I am a big fan from his days at National Review. Between the trust-fund-prep-school Right and the Godbots, this GOP of ours is gonna be royally screwed up one day.
We finish things off, appropriately enough, with a double dose of Professor Hanson. First on just why California is royally screwed if Obama remains in power (as if that wasn't obvious enough?), and then with a classic explanation of why Barack Obama will lose the rhetorical war -- and the election -- to Mitt Romney.
I know there's more that has happened this week, but I'm kinda swamped. Promise that next week I'll get on some things (like the Obama Administration airbrushing the biographies of other Presidents to make their man look like he has clue-fucking-one), and I'll have something to say about snoring...yes, you read that right: Snoring.
See you next week.
UPDATE: Apologies, but on the John Derbyshire thing: you need to read a few of his columns back (and read this here column that started the whole thing) to get the entire gist of it. Derb apparently was denounced by his former "friends" at National Review for...gasp!...speaking his mind on matters of race. Which lead one reader to wonder (paraphrased) "Why do the people at National Review even bother to grovel on questions of race when they will only be called racists, anyway?"

Welcome Taki's Mag Readers...
Thanks for stopping by, drawing a cup of stupidity and staying to read on for a bit more. Thanks even more for returning, as some you have. I like return customers.
We here at the Asylum strive to bring you only the most egregious examples of the 24-hour diseased monologue that takes place inside my 20-cc. brain.
Our helpful and cheerful Asylum elves, Lefty, Swifty, Bruno and Killah, will be more than happy to show you around the facilities, including our brand-spankin'-new restraining chairs and restroom-mounted Thorazine dispensers.
If you like what you read here, please, by all means, tell your friends and spare yourself the unfortunate consequences of a late-night visit from Dominick the Discipline Elf, a.k.a. The Midnight Marshmallow Strangler, formerly a member of Congress, and CEO of Wet Willie's Whoopie Cushions, Inc.
Regards,
Matthew
P.S. I have added a link to Taki's site on our Wall of Shame; I'm a fan of Kathy Shaidle's (despite the restraining order) and John Derbyshire's, and have been remiss in not posting a link to their latest endeavors sooner.

Regards,
Matthew

Conservative in the Closet Has Moved...
It was but a matter of time, really, but C-in-C is back in the saddle at her new blog, The End of Your Arm.
Go and visit her there before Lefty the Discipline Elf has to make an unannounced midnight visit to your house, and maim you in your sleep.
In the meantime, we're proud to put her new blog on our wall of shame.
While you're at it, take the opportunity to read through some of my favorite blogs:
Iowahawk: if you're still not reading Iowahawk every goddamned day, then you deserve to be drawn and quartered and served to cannibals in a creamy cheese sauce.
Five Feet of Fury: Inappropriate, but spot-on, commentary from one of Canada's cooler people. if all Canadians were like this, they'd be a shoo-in to be the 51st state way before Puerto Rico, and a hell of a lot more useful.
The Insane Asylum: Hey, I'm still writing there, and you should go over and see my peeps, Mr. Chap and Nena Grace, and sit a spell. They'll be glad to see you, and have a large selection of designer strait jackets and sedatives for you to chose from.
Diogenes' Middle Finger; Some of my content winds up there (thanks for the cross-links!), and there's some really cool stuff for you to laugh over. You won't need a helmet, I promise.

Bye-Bye C-in-C...
Bad news: The Conservative in the Closet Blog is shutting down,
However, one gets the distinct impression that C-in-C herself will not be going into retirement, and that she'll resurface someplace else, rather soon.
In the meantime, all the Closet Conservative's posts will remain, her blog staying behind as sort of an archive of human stupidity. We here at the Asylum wish the C-in-C the very best of luck in her future endeavors. We've enjoyed your blog immensely.

A Round of Applause for Mr. Chap...
Nicely done, Mr. C!
Mister Chap will be helping us keep our insanity levels at '1.000 mg of Thoraizine...stat!' .
He's a good man, a good writer, and a snazzy dresser, so lend him your eyes and your brains while he dishes out his own brand of expert-approved mental pablum. You can also visit him at the Insane Asylum.
You'd better....don't make me come up there and make you...
Welcome aboard, Mr. C, and thank you, thank you, THANK FUCKIN' YOU, for helping to destroy that totally-invented Kennedy aura that has done so much damage to our beloved Republic!

Blogging Has Been Light, My Apologies...
I have been busy moving and getting settled in. The insanity spigot will be turned back on within the next few days, I promise.
In the meantime, occupy yourself at our Wall of Infamy, otherwise known as the Blogroll on the lower right hand part of this page, and take a gander at the Blogs this Lunatic reads. It only takes a few minutes, it doesn't hurt, and why not bump up some page views for the people who have helped me bump up mine?

Welcome, Diogenes' Middle Finger Readers...
We're glad to see you here at the Asylum, and invite you to indulge in as much psychiatrist-rejected mental diarrhea as you can stomach. You'll find coffee, scones, and strychnine on the settee near the heavy steel doors leading to the padded rooms. If you need anything, or require a great, big, whopping dose of Thorazine, Lefty, Swifty, Bull, Ox and Twinkie, our courteous and professional Asylum Elves will be glad to help you...right after they finish ironing and folding the strait jackets.
A link to Diogenes' Middle Finger has been added to our world-famous Wall of Infamy...errr...Blogroll. Regular Asylum readers should scoot on over there on pain of death...or at least under threat of visit from Knuckles the Enforcer Elf.
Enjoy.
Oh, and while I'm at it, you'll be glad to know that the mental deficient who writes this thing (that would be me) is also a featured contributor at the Insane Asylum, which we strongly suggest you should read daily, or there will be no more Prozac for you! Stop by and give my real-but-imaginary friends Mr. Chap and Nena Grace a few minutes of your time... you'll be glad you did!

Stilettos in the Sand Has Moved...
Beth is back! Stilettos in the Sand -- having completed the arduous journey of relocating from that abysmal litter box of Saudi Arabia to the sunnier climes of South Carolina -- is now Stilettos in the South. Head on over, give Beth some page bumps, and have yourself a real good time.
