Poor People Suck, Part III...

...the Halloween Edition.

I usually hate Halloween. As a kid, I guess I found it pretty cool -- free candy! -- but as the years passed and I got older, I found the whole idea of dressing up in costumes, partying until I puked, and putting on an extra 15 pounds of Butterfinger fat something not worth the time and effort.

And then there's all the stupid little chores that go with celebrating Halloween -- carving Jack-o-Lanterns, putting up macabre decorations, and the subsequent cleanup after both -- that make this holiday a royal pain in the posterior. I feel the same way about Christmas, on a certain level; I hate putting up Christmas trees, and decorating them, and getting up on ladders to staple strings of lights to the house. I cannot stand life-sized plastic Santas (with reindeer) that light up and have this creepy, Made-in-China sound box that makes Santa's Ho-Ho-Ho! sound like your grandfather suddenly remembering he has a hernia.

Although I must say, I DO enjoy dressing up as Santa for the little kids in my family, and for my cousin's friends, which I have done for many years. Go figure.

Poor People Suck, Part II...

The Scene: Your Intrepid Lunatic is in the local supermarket, doing his weekly grocery shopping. This mundane and ordinary activity (which he actually enjoys) is interrupted by the arrival of the Scourge of America: the single welfare mother with a brace of obnoxious children, armed with an EBT card. What follows is both disturbing and frightening. It is a microcosm of the future which would make one sick, if one could muster up enough concern to actually give a shit.

No More Twinkies, But At Least The Union Survived Intact...

I've said it before, and it bears repeating: Unions exist to ensure that complete, mouth-breathing, knuckle-dragging, addle-brained doofuses can manage to get and keep overpaid, underworked jobs that their feeble abilities to simply breathe, eat, shit and occupy a particular and unique point in space and time would otherwise make them unqualified for.

Union Big: Hostess out of business, but this only proves the union's power and resolve.

Because, let's face it: it all would have been for nothing if people had kept their jobs in this time of great economic uncertainty and rising prices, only to see the union get busted in the process. That would have been a fucking tragedy.

I'm sure all of those people who are now without a job are so happy they could shit, because that's exactly what they were talked into going on strike for in the first place: to save the union.

They Know Not What They Have Done...

I would like to dedicate this screed to all of you complete and utter morons out there who did the unthinkable, and pulled the lever for one Barack Hussein Obama some ten days ago. I truly wish you all the worst kind of inhuman suffering these next four years, and that, like a Biblical curse, the sin you have committed is passed on from father to son, mother to daughter, and so on, indefinitely.

Yes, that is mean. Yes, it's even cruel to wish that bad things should happen to complete strangers, who, for all I know, happen to be fine and decent people who just made a choice I happen to disagree with. But then again, it's terribly apropos given the sense of smug satisfaction and the complete douchbaggery with which the average Obama voter in these parts has behaved. I'll get to some individual examples in just a minute, but first, I want to try to explain to you assholes just what it is you have accomplished, because most of you seem clueless about the effects your vote will have beyond "I'm gettin' _______ for free!", and "Suck on that,.Whitey!".

If You Have The Ability to Create Your Own Currency, Then How Can You Ever Go Broke?

This has to be read to be believed.

Now you know why Libtards seem incapable of understanding basic economics; to them, money isn't really REAL.

In which case, why have money at all?

The Truth is Told: Gas is Expensive Because You're a Fat Fuck...

Whoever at the Obama Campaign is paying these people to make these sorts of statements should ask for their money back.

Allstate Insurance says fat drivers/riders have wasted 1 billion gallons of gas since 1960.

Flo from Progressive would never tell you something hurtful like that.

Sounds like an environMENTALIST plot, to me.

Obama "Used Up All The White Guilt..."

Social Darwinism is on the way. It is inevitable, and it's going to be messy, because apparently one side in this coming Survival-of-the-Fittest fight is totally unprepared, and unwilling, to pull it's own weight.

Probably because it has been conditioned to operate in an environment that will no longer exist once the truth of the national finances is finally told, and the unavoidable austerity measures kick in.

If this article is even halfway true, the African-American community is truly fucked when the Federal Budget cutting begins, because it's apparent that without a lavishly-funded, supported by guilt, 'System' to both decry and exploit simultaneously, many black folks left to their own devices are probably going to starve or die of rickets.

With any luck, Je$$e Jackson will be first.

The Coming Age of Social Darwinism...

Things look pretty bleak these days if you're a Lefty. European-style social democracy, with it's cradle-to-grave mentality, it's four weeks of paid vacation (even for people who don't work), and it's generous 'safety net' of myriad welfare payments, is about to come to an abrupt end. European governments can no longer afford to pay for it all. Even the attempt by the larger countries of Europe to slag some of the expense of their enormous social spending commitments off on their smaller neighbors -- they called it the European Union, but the only thing it was ever designed to do was to make Irish laborers pay the expenses of French retirees, and Spanish farmers supply the funding to send an Italian to college for 12 years -- has failed miserably.

The riots you see in the streets of Athens, Madrid, Rome and Lisbon are the first indication that the political Left is beginning to realize that it's free ride -- intellectually, economically, politically, and socially -- is about to stop short. Why? Because it's about to be defunded by governments who will have to either practice some form of austerity, or collapse completely. And it's all about to happen in the United States, too.

21 Ways The Rich Think Differently...

I read this earlier in the week, but had to take some time to think about the implications of this idea.

Now, the author may be on to something here, and I would think that this would suggest much more scientific research be done on the subject. If the road to wealth begins with a different mindset, or perhaps if we discovered that some people are, indeed, hard-wired to eventually become rich, we might have unlocked the secrets of true egalitarianism.

The Anticipation is Killing Me...

I hate waiting. I am the most impatient man, I think, the world has ever known. Particularly when it comes to having to wait in order to rid myself of a nuisance.

Why is it that time flies when we're having fun, but absolutely crawls when it comes to getting rid of  bad presidents?

This agonizing wait is reminiscent of those days of early childhood, when Christmas couldn't come soon enough, and when an afternoon was sometimes spent in anticipation of a visit from the Ice Cream truck. The bells and tinny music would be audible for miles before the truck actually arrived, and you wondered if the truck would ever get here so that you could buy your Bomb Pop and a Yoo-Hoo

Burnham, Orwell and Obama, Part One...

Winston Smith, The Managerial Revolution, And Our Current Crisis
Lately, I’ve been talking a lot about George Orwell here. I can’t seem to help myself, and I promise, it’s not because I am obsessed by the man’s writing, though it is hard not to be. I would consider Orwell to be perhaps one of the three best writers of the 20th Century (Winston Churchill and H.G. Wells round out that list, IMO), and without a doubt, the best political writer of the second half of the same era.

It’s not just that books like 1984 and Animal Farm are great reads, telling interesting stories, but that they seem to reflect our own times so much that it’s difficult not to imagine that someone isn’t following his script.

Totalitarianism Comes To America...

Bearing yesterday's shocking and somewhat mystifying Supreme Court decision on ObamaCare in mind, it has become apparent that our government -- at all levels, county, state, and all three federal branches -- is atrociously out of control.

Without getting too far into the weeds on the 2,400-page (and counting) Affordable Care Act (because I'm not a lawyer, thankfully) the gist of the 6-3 decision is this:

Congress has the constitutional authority to impose any tax that it sees fit, for any reason, whatsoever, despite the fact that a) The Bill itself was passed in anything BUT a Constitutional manner, and b) the Obamatard lawyers did everything in their power to portray the costs of the Individual Mandate as anything BUT a tax. Somehow six Justices sat there and listened to months of "it's not a tax, really, and we don't want to make the argument that it is" and came to the conclusion that it was up to them to make up their own arguments in favor of calling it a tax.

Okay, Mitt Romney...Now What?

Imagine that you are Mitt Romney; you've just garnered enough delegates to win the GOP presidential primary, and have all but sewn up the nomination. You're about to go on the attack against The Anti-Christ...errr...President Obama. You're confident. You're in command of the facts and figures. You have found a message that resonates with at least two-thirds of republican primary voters and a mess of independents. You believe that you possess the skills necessary to transform your Vision of These Here United States into a workable program that the majority of Americans will understand, and then turn that vision into a reality.

Before you hit the ground running, Mr. Romney -- which, incidentally, is the time where most candidates stumble -- you'll need to keep a few things in perspective, and you'll have to deal with a few more issues in a more forthright manner than you have to date (although, i must admit, hitting the Obamatard on economics in front of a boarded-up Solyndra was a stroke of marketing genius).

So, unbidden, and with full confidence that no one who matters is going to listen to a thing I have to say, I would like to offer you some advice on seven subjects that I believe will be front-and-center in this election. If you follow my advice, Mr. Romney, I'm certain that not only will you coast to election, but you'll also force Modern Progressive Liberalism (three lies for the price of one) into a lengthy, decades-long retreat.

Ignore my advice at your peril!

We Recycle Everything Else...

...why not people?

I asked myself that question -- again -- today as I stood on what was supposed to be an express checkout line in the local supermarket this afternoon. I say "supposed to be" because, if I have this concept down right, the idea is to move people quickly and efficiently through the checkout and payment process, thus making their shopping experience a much more enjoyable and/or efficient one.

However, when you're stuck behind an 80-year-old mutant, things don't always work out as planned.

"What Will People Like Us Do?"

Most likely? I'd say starve or die of exposure.

Potentially? Maybe you'll go back to whatever stinking Third World shithole vomited you up in the first place.

In my wildest dreams? Force you to make some effort to take care of yourself, and relieve the overburdened taxpayer of both that expense and at-arm's-length responsibility.

Romney's Freudian Slip?

Mitt Romney: "I’m Not Concerned About The Poor…"

There are Three Dots after that sentence fragment for a reason; Romney said more that qualified and explained this otherwise callous statement, but don’t ever expect anyone to give him any credit for what followed. Faster than Barack Obama could say "Michelle, pack our bags!" Romney was being excoriated in the media for being a modern-day Scrooge, and opportunistically assailed by his political opponents as someone too damned rich to have clue one about of the travails of the Common Man.

The Whitewashing Begins...

I meant to blog about this earlier in the week, but had no time to do so. It is a New York Post piece about the tragic failure of President Obama's much ballyhooed Stimulus Plan, and how it has failed miserably, and do we have to say it?,Unexpectedly.

Human Resources Manager In Chief...

President Obama tells woman that her Engineer husband's inability to find work is "interesting", and doesn't square with the information he has about our apparently Stealth economic recovery.

Odouchebag then goes one step further, and offers to give his resume a once-over. You can't make this shit up, folks.

So, since Barack Obama is going to be personally involved in helping this man find a job -- strictly for political purposes -- why not force the Vacationer-in-Chief to put his money where his mouth is? If finding people work is such a simple matter, given all this economic prosperity that we rubes are just too stupid to see and wouldn't otherwise find without the O-man's enlightened leadership, why not just send Barack Obama your resume and have him hook you up with the job of your dreams?

I know I will.

The address is http://www.whitehouse.gov/. Mark it "Find me a Job, Mr. President", and let's see a) how easy it is for Barack Obama to find you one of these high-paying, high-tech jobs, and b) how quickly the White House servers screech to a halt under the deluge of job-seeking professionals, and a public statement is made to please knock it off.

Here's my resume (see below), Mr. President. I'd like $100k/year, and three weeks vacation, and please, no Green Energy jobs; I've had one of those before and it evaporated faster than your chances of ever being re-elected next year have. Maybe one of your buds at Goldman-Sachs can hook me up? They can contact me here at the Asylum.

Thanks ever soooo much, President Kelly Girls!

Five Reasons Why Jon Huntsman Should Be Mowing My Lawn...

...and for free.

#Excelsior502 - One of the many services we provide here at the Lunatic’s Asylum is the proffering of unsolicited opinion on topics various and sundry. One of my personal favorite past times is in serving up my cynical and jaundiced political views with a large side order of sarcastic invective, and the latest targets of my diseased political outlook have been the current crop of 2012 GOP contenders.
