"Journalists" are Assholes...

The novel is coming along. If by 'coming along' I mean to say that writing it is like pulling teeth. I hadn't realized that it would have been this difficult to tell a story you've rehearsed inside your own head for nearly a decade, but apparently it is.

I was recently complaining about this to a journalist friend of mine (he writes for one of the New York dailies, but not one of the Big Three) who said something along the lines of "Now you know what we journalists have to contend with...".

Two things:

What We Saw at The GOP Convention...

Apologies for being a bit late with this. Tess has been deathly ill, and I've been kinda busy keeping her alive. Which is more than Obamacare would have done.

In keeping with our general theme this week, let's wrap up what we saw at the GOP convention. In no particular order:

Halperin: Dick Leaves a Bad Taste in His Mouth...

So, Time Magazine's (that's still in business?) Mark Halperin called President Obama a 'dick' on Morning Joe?

What's so completely shocking about this is not that (P)MSNBC allowed such a visceral criticism of It's Messiah to hit the airwaves, but that Mika Bra-bra-bra-shin-ski should go through the giggling schoolgirl routine when she heard the word. You're not fooling anyone, Mika: we know that you're intimately familiar with that word.

How do you think she got that job in the first place?

I don’t know what all the brouhaha is about: Halperin’s criticism -- even his use of a slang term for a penis -- was extraordinarily mild when you stop to consider just what a disaster Barack Obama is/was/has become.

The Reality of Obama is not what The Promise of Obama, well... promised. It never could be. But that was painfully obvious – to everyone, except maybe Libtards – way back in 2008. Had the Press, which was busily cheering Obama on, and in fact made Obama into a Messianic figure, had instead been doing it’s primary job – discovering who the man was, and what he was all about, instead of being mystified by soaring speeches and an unusual racial bio – they would not be quite as disappointed today as they so obviously are.
Then again, part of being a Libtard is always about being disappointed. That’s bound to happen when you dream of impossible things, and live in a fantasy world where other people’s money buys everything, and Human Nature is something that can be routinely ignored. Liberals engage in what a psychiatrist might call ‘A Self-Defeating-Self-Fulfilling Prophecy’ loop in all things. If they were all put on the couch, every last one of them would emerge as a prime candidate for heavy doses of Prozac.
This is in large part because Modern Liberalism is primarily about emotions, and not about facts, logic or  the realistic evaluation of possibilities. People who react emotionally to everything, people who make great leaps of faith and jump to conclusions without thinking, usually find themselves sorely disappointed.

And in denial about the part they’ve played in their own failure.

The Left in this country is bitter, negative, unhelpful, combative, spiteful, delusional, misguided, deluded, retarded, and permanently adolescent. And it doesn’t matter who is power; they would have been just as disappointed, no matterwho had won the election of 2008, and we’d probably even be hearing many of the same complaints from the Left about a Hillary Clinton presidency, because she at least has the minimum of braincells required to make compromises, and the ambition to do whatever it takes to be seen as successful, and that often means giving a big middle finger to the Left for selfish, personal ends. Especially when those ends might clash with boilerplate Libtardism.

The difference in this case is that the Press had an emotional stake in the election and success of Barack Obama, and it never occurred to them that he just might not be up to the job. The greatest indication that Barry isn’t up to the task is all the time he spends not doing it; the multiple vacations, the golf outings, the jetting off to fundraisers, the set-piece kabuki plays of political speeches in front of rabid supporters (some of whom, it’s been rumored, have been paid to cheer, and even faint, on cue). He's never at the scene of an oil spill, flood, or tornado, and he seems to leave the job of actually governing to Joe Biden and Congress.

If Mark Halperin is disappointed in B.O. because Gitmo is still open, because there’s no Single-Payer system in place, because instead of two unpopular wars we now have three (and possibly four), because Republicans and Tea Party people haven’t been frog-marched to the Concentration Camps, because homosexuals still don’t have the right to have buck-naked swordfights in the public square, or because there hasn’t been a federal investigation of Sarah Palin’s womb yet, then he has only himself to blame.

He promoted and then probably voted for this dick.

And George W. Bush’s name had become by November of 2008, ‘Mud’.

The Press did that, too, and Halperin was in the vanguard then.

By comparison, George W. Bush now looks like a reasonable man, a veritable Bismark/Disraeli/Churchill/Reagan all rolled up into one, even if the truth of his Presidency was far from it. The Press, led by people like Halperin, who did such a bad job of covering the Bush Administration (likely because they were far too busy making fun of Bush’s cowboy accent and portraying him as a drooling idiot) was entirely AWOL on the subject of covering Barack Obama the Candidate, and has done nothing but cover for him since. And now they’re tired of it.

I do have to say one thing in Halperin’s defense: you would never have heard the word ‘Dick’ applied to Obama’s predecessors by a member of the media in the past, and while the Lefty press certainly was thinking ‘Dick’ about Reagan, Bush I and II, they at least never crossed that line of disrespect. It’s telling that the man they built up and supported, the man they’ve been lying about for the last five years, the man that The Press has such a vested interest in, is now openly mocked and disrespected in such visceral terms.

Perhaps for the first time in his career, Halperin is telling the truth.

You could only imagine what other adjectives, and body parts, Halperin would have mentioned had Barack Obama been a Republican.

Trump on Birth Certificates...

NBC used to be a monolith of journalism, the Gold Standard by which all other journalistic endeavors were measured. Now it is simply a collection of panty-bunched Leftards who have decided that the public needs to be protected from the truth, and which needs to cover it's own collective ass, since there was no greater Cheerleader for Barry Oh-Blah-Blah than NBC news. Even if that means dismissing out-of-hand that which so obviously blows their carefully-constructed narrative of the Greatness of The Won to smithereens.

What has NBC news in such a tizzy? Donald Trump wants to see Barack Obama's Birth Certificate, too.

I mean, even Mika Bra-bra-za-za-zinski has her titties in a knot over the whole thing, and while I used to like her, I'm now convinced after watching Morning Joe fairly religiously for the last few months that she has the sort of intellectual acuity one usually associates with a grapefruit. Her father may have once been Secretary of State (to Jimmy Carter, which makes that sort of like being the chief clown in the circus), but I'm beginning to wonder just who she had to blow to get that gig.

The whole Birther Controversy will soon blow over, in any case; Resident Odoofus won't be occupying the White House after January 20, 2013, and then I'm fairly certain the fur-breasted, bitter gun-clingers will finally get their answer to the questions that consume their every waking thought: is Obama a citizen of the United States? Is he a closet Muslim? Was his election truly valid?

I would tend to believe there are more important questions to be asked right now: like who we'll eventually choose to replace President Unmitigated-Disaster...and her husband, or How do we repair the American economy? When do we finally achieve energy independence? How many Congresscritters can we shoot (rhetorically) in the Public Square when it's all over?

Once Obama is gone, the Press, especially NBC News, will no longer have a vested interest in propping him up, and then the real investigative reporting that should have been done before they ushered Obama into office will finally be done, when he's no longer of any use to them. Having constructed the Potemkin President and presented him to the world as Savior of the Universe, the assholes at NBC, (P)MSNBC, CNN, CBS and the New York Times will recklessly proceed with indecent haste to finally tell the truth, the whole truth and nuthin' but the truth, vis-a-vis President Marriott-Suites.

If only to save whatever journalistic reputation and pretense to objectivity they might be able to salvage.

Only then will History be able to judge whether Barry from Hawaii was ever eligible, or qualified, to be President of these United States, and then the lessons learned will be carried forward. I wouldn't doubt if in the near future we start subjecting our candidates to such intense scrutiny that they will have to undergo a colonoscopy in order to allay any public speculation that Jimmy Hoffa may be buried in one of their intestines.

The real point of the whole Birther thing in the first place was to find a reason, any reason conceivable or plausible, to keep Obama from taking the Oath of Office, or failing that, of bringing him down, eventually. Unfortunately for the Birthers, Barack Obama requires absolutely no help from them in order to fuck things up royally. Of course, Birthers fail to realize that if they ever did get Obama on this birth certificate thing, it would only lead to the even sadder consequence of leaving the country in even less-capable hands: Joe Biden's.

With Hillary Clinton waiting in the wings -- cleaning her guns.

The Birthers would risk even that; they're so impatient to bring about the Rapture (or whatever the fuck it is they want) that they can't wait for 2013. To them, every second that Barry Oantichrist sits in the Oval Office brings this nation one second closer to complete and utter, cosmic, doom.

Dudes..Chill out. We already passed the "Apocalypse, Next Right" sign when Bill Clinton stood before a national audience and proudly, even brazenly, lied through his teeth.

"I didn't inhale..." He said. And everyone knew he was full of shit, but they still voted for him. Twice.

If you hadn't recognized then that the American Public was content to be lied to in the most audacious and bald-faced manner, and even seem to not only NOT give a shit, but in fact reward the liar who insulted their intelligence with a second term, then you missed your Apocalyptic Tipping Point.

Barack Obama is the man who will destroy America? Fuck, that process started already. Obama just clocked in for the Night Shift. And truthfully, it's been CONGRESS which has done far more damage than Obama, Bush or Clinton. They just happen to be the guys in charge whenever the Perpetual Fisting of America enters it's next cycle. Barack Obama isn't the one who 'ruined' America: he just came along and poured salt and lemon juice in the open wounds.

You want to know who ruined America, then take at look at the people who usually escape the blame for the state of affairs they created: the professional political class, big business, lawyers, libtards, and a public so mind-bogglingly stupid that they made the choice the Press wanted them to make in the fall of 2008. The Press liked the story -- Black Man makes Good in Racist-est Country in Human History -- so who gives a shit if he's actually capable of doing the job?

By the end of next year, they'll have a whole new story to pitch to you: How Did this Douchebag Manage to Scam America into Voting for Him? The truth will eventually be told. Just keep your panties on.

I'm no fan of Barack Obama, believe me, but at this point trying to get him tossed from office on such skinny hopes reeks of the Prosecuting Attorney who went into court with a murder weapon, the suspect's fingerprints and DNA, three eyewitnesses, a confession and the whole crime captured on videotape, loses his case through incredible stupidity -- and then tries to get the accused busted on a jaywalking rap, just to save face.

Barack Obama's Birth Certificate just might turn out to be the political equivalent of The Bloody Glove.

They way I figure it, the Press will be insanely interested in finding out for you, but only after the man they've built up has finally begun his downward spiral. It's how Leftards play politics: they not only bury their dead, they rush to be the first to bury their wounded, too. In the meantime, it's not as if Barack Obama is actually in the White House, what with all the vacations, golf outings, campaign stops, set speechifying in front of hand-picked crowds with three teleprompters in tow, so why not just let the issue lie for now?

I mean, imagine how much worse it could be if he were actually trying?

The only good thing about this brouhaha is that Next Time We'll Ask. All political candidates will probably be posting their Birth Certificates on billboards from here on in.

As for the possibility of Donald Trump being a contender for President of the United States: do you honestly imagine he could do worse than any of the Professional Politicians we're likely to see run, given the recent track records and current rosters of either political party?

(P)MSNBC Screws Up, Tells the Truth Twice in One Article...

The Signs of Civilization are not to be found in the Middle East. The lands that once could boast the great cities of Mesopotamia and Persia are now inhabited by small-minded, mean-spirited little creatures with an inordinate fear of the vagina, who bow to a black rock in the middle of a desert, wear their laundry on their heads, engage in sexual intercourse with livestock, and are jealous of Jews because they can at least manage to grow food in a wasteland...to the point where they want to kill them all.

Still, there are those in the West who, despite the evidence of their eyes and ears, believe in the myth of the Moderate Muslim. In newsrooms, universities, smart cocktail parties on the Upper East Side, and all the other places where cringing people cower in fear of the truth ever getting out, or being told in such a way that someone with a propensity for explosive underwear and a murderous ideology-disguised-as-a-religion might take offense to, minds might be slowly changing. But, it seems that even these craven few, the ones who insist that Muslims are misunderstood victims of the West who need to be appeased, are finally beginning to acquire some common sense.

And the first indication of this coming change in mentality was detected, in of all places, in an MSNBC report on the Assassination of a Prominent Pakistani Politician.

You know that confidence in the (mostly mental) construct of the Moderate Muslim is beginning to fade when (P)MSNBC puts the qualifier "so-called" before those very words. Don't despair, though; the reporter then remembers the commandments of his Evil GE Overlords, and recovers; it only took two paragraphs for the reporter to recover his senses and reassert boilerplate (P)MSNBC's policy of blaming the United States for the murder of a Pakistani politician by a Islamofascist. I quote:

"Pakistan's founding father, Muhammad Ali Jinnah, helped establish the country in 1947 as a moderate Islamic state welcoming all minority groups and religions. But that foundation has slowly been eroded over the years, especially in the 1980s during the military rule of Gen. Mohammad Zia ul-Haq, who imposed a more conservative brand of Islam on the country.

The U.S. participated in this process by providing Zia's government with billions of dollars that it funneled to the mujahideen fighting the Soviets in neighboring Afghanistan."

See? It's all our fault. America planted the seeds of this murder, 30 years ago. With money. Standard Operating Procedure is back in effect. Still, it was a brave and honest (P)MSNBC reporter who could put "so-called Moderate Muslim" in a report and get it past the censors. Kudos for at least that much truth. But wait! There's more!

Just in case you were afraid that (P)MSNBC would quit while it was ahead, having been able to score a cheap political and rhetorical point by blaming something on the United States -- and especially the Reagan Administration -- while implying that Muslims, even the ones that kill their own politicians in a hail of gunfire and prayer (and naturally, like a true Jihadi, he shot his victim in the back), are victims -- makes another editorial mistake, from their point of view....and accidentally tells the truth, again. Twice in one article? The World's turned upside down! This politician was killed because:

"The response to Taseer's murder among ordinary Pakistanis seemed mixed. Some praised Qadri for targeting the governor, who in recent weeks had spoken forcefully in favor of clemency for a Christian woman sentenced to die for allegedly insulting Islam's Prophet Muhammad."

See? He wouldn't kill the Christian. He defended an Infidel. He exercised his conscience, and made a moral judgement, which are two really big no-no's as far as Islam is concerned. He had to die...he deserved to die.

Moderate, indeed.

Prediction: Within a decade someone will have to nuke Pakistan pre-emptively. Stock up on canned goods.

P.S. - It's good to see that (P)MSNBC made a decision and a commitment to stick with androgyny in the Maddow time slot with it's choice of guest host. Maddow looks manly, and Hayes just gives off a vibe that lets you know that he pees sitting down.

Election 2010: Some Thoughts...

I still have to think some more about the implications of the"historic" Republican "victory" in yesterday's mid-term elections, so I'm going to put down some general observations right now, and then come back to the subject later this afternoon (after I watch Obama's Plea for Mercy speech this afternoon).

The Good:
* Alan Grayson, a thoroughly despicable waste of gametes, lost his Congressional seat in Florida. If there was anything that stood out from yesterday's results as the both the Best Thing That Could Happen and the Least Surprising Thing That Could Happen, this was it. This was perhaps the craziest fucker in the House of Representatives, and his loss represents about a 90% return to sanity in government. Good luck in your new job, Mr. Grayson, just remember the proper phrase is "would you like fries with that, Sir?". And smile when you say it.

* In my local election, Michael Grimm beat that malevolent leprechaun, Mike McMahon, and four other Republicans from New York are headed to Congress, allowing the NY Congressional delegation to at least be able to boast "We suck far less than we did yesterday...", Charles Schumer will not become Senate Majority Leader (since Dingy Harry survived), and I would dearly love to have been a fly on the wall when Schumer -- always one to count chickens before they hatch -- had to call off the mega-Press Conference and Fireworks Show that he'd scheduled to announce that he'd be vying for that position.

* Russ Feingold, the other half of the Greatest Assault on Free Speech in American History (Campaign Finance Reform) is now gone. Good riddance, and it was long overdue. Unfortunately, your partner in crime, John McCain, is still with us, which can only mean that the choice in Arizona must have been along the lines of "Would you rather: a) Fuck your mother, or b) Blow Your Father?" in that Senatorial contest.

The Bad:
* Harry Reid survived? How the hell did this happen? Either the people of Nevada are that fucking stupid, or Sharon Angle was the worst possible candidate. I'll have to think about that one.

* Christine O'Donnell loses. This is bad because we need some more hot chicks in Congress. If that election in Delaware taught you anything it is this: even in a day-and-age when people are unemployed, the national debt spirals out of control, the country is engaged in two wars, the Federal Government has nationalized the banks, heavy industry, insurance companies and is on the precipice of nationalizing our health care, you can STILL count on legions of people being stupid enough to be swayed by accusations that your opponent dabbles in Witchcraft. Things have not changed much since 17th Century New England, have they? I wonder; if someone took a test, would Delaware still be the dumbest -- and most irrelevant --state in the union?

* John Boehner crying. That is an image that I cannot scrub off my mind with a Brillo pad.

On MSNBC's Election Coverage (I flipped between Fox and (P)MSNBC all night):

* Keith Olbermann added a new dimension to his on-air persona; Keefy usually has a puss screwed on that is reminiscent of a man who is sitting upon his vibrator while having gallons of lemon juice poured into an open wound. Last night, he added a new face: he looked like he wanted to spit, but didn't because we all know he swallows. Keith took every opportunity to deviate from the fake "Objective Newsman" routine to scatter what passes for commentary on MSNBC with unflattering references to everyone he apparently doesn't like. Especially Christine O'Donnell and Sharon Angle. He was an ungracious douche, but what else could we expect from someone who probably still sleeps with his own parents, and likes having small rodents jammed in his bum?

* Rachel Maddow is a (insert word that rhymes with "hunt", and which will get you slapped in polite company). I realize that Rachel's job is to represent the "Butch Pseudo-Intellectual Lesbian" point of view on all things political, but I do recall a time when one could -- if they stretched the meaning of the word generously -- consider her to have been "fair".

* Chris Matthews had the look of a man who had just been buggered by a rabid, three-dicked grizzly bear (or maybe it was just a Momma Grizzly with a strap-on?) without lube, and no complimentary reach-around.

* Eugene Robinson is obviously disappointed that the program of Reparations by Another Name started by Resident Barack Obama now seems set to to come to an end, and that he'll have to Resort to Plan B in order to explain this defeat. Expect Gene to start cranking out columns and whining on MSNBC that Obama's failures are all the result of a vast conspiracy in which White Conservatives somehow managed to get a (half-)black man elected for the purposes of ensuring that no other black man, ever, gets elected President of the United States again. Should have asked for cash up front, Gene, instead of taking Obama's I.O.U.

* Ed Schultz is still the biggest, dumbest, most insufferable asshole on cable television, and he's even worse when his Red Comrades go down in fiery defeat. Somewhere, I'm hoping there's a guy with an elephant gun and tranquilizer darts, ready to do the country an enormous service and hunt Ed down, so that he may be returned to the Special-Needs Rhino Preserve from whence he came.

Miscellaneous:
* The notion that "Republicans must now show that they can govern" was floated about 73 times amongst the talking heads. First of all, the Republicans won the House of Representatives; democrats still control the Senate and the Presidency. The question is not "Can Republicans Govern?", but more "Why Haven't Democrats?", as they still hold 2/3 of the visible aspects of government. Had they not been pre-occupied by turning the United States into Greece -- only with turtle tunnels -- they might have actually accomplished something worth bragging about.

* On the notion that Republicans must now "reach across the isle in a spirit of non-partisanship". First of all, when a republican asks for "non-partisan"anything, he's basically asking "Hey, would you sign onto this crap so that when it fails I have some political cover?", and when a democrat calls for "Non-partisanship" it either means "I still get what I want, I just won't demonize you in public as badly as I would have", or it's a cry for mercy. Stuff "bi-partisanship" because it's the most misused word in American politics. The American People yesterday said "No" to taxes, "No" to nationalized healthcare, "No" to big government, "No" to policies that will strangle economic growth, "no" to bills that Congress can't be bothered to read before forcing them through in an unconstitutional fashion in the dead of night.

I rather doubt the democrats are in any mood to co-operate with anyone on dismantling or reversing anything they believe they've accomplished in the last two years. It's all they have to hang their hats on for 2012, after all. The only "bi-partisan" anything you'll get is where republicans in the House and Senate are able to force their democratic counterparts to swallow the bitter dregs of defeat in order to stave off defeat in 2012, and beyond. Only vulnerable democrats will play along, and when the numbers of those start to dwindle (never underestimate the power of a republican Congress to shoot itself in the foot) as we near 2012, expect to see the partisan bickering return with an even-greater fury.

* On the Notion That Obama's Speech today will Prove Once-and-For-All Whether he's a Pragmatist or an Ideologue: Were you not paying attention these last two years? Were you living under a rock? Atop a Himalayan peak where electricity and cable aren't available? Obama is an ideologue, and anything he has to say today will be simply be a regurgitation of his usual passive-aggressive ideological style ("While I look forward to working with Speaker Boehner, I will not abandon the Values and Principles that we have fought so hard to promote..."). I expect Obama will run through two teleprompters during this speech....and still say nothing.

* The most intriguing aspect of this election: Almost every candidate that Obama personally campaigned for lost. This comes a week after Al'Qaeda tried their little mail-bomb stunt. Let's see if Usama Bin Hidin' takes this clear indication of Obama's political weakness to cook something up, especially with Odouchebag scheduled to be out of the country this week (the one place where he can do the least amount of continuing damage). If I were Joe Biden and Hillary Clinton this week, I'd make sure that wherever it is that the Secret Service hides me, that refuge has plenty of reinforced concrete and is heavily-guarded.

A Libtard Just Told the Truth!

This is why, if you can hold your breakfast down, you should occasionally watch (P)MSNBC. New York Times columnist Gail Collins uttered a pearl of wisdom this morning on Morning Joe. This tidbit of honesty was allowed to escape during the discussion of Obama's crisis management in the wake of the BP oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico, and criticism of the Federal Response, and what was -- they tell me -- Obama's first, official press conference in a year (forgive me if I wasn't as excited about it, since the douchebag in on my TV every goddamned day, whether it's "official or not"). I'll paraphrase:

"...the only reason Barack Obama is President of the United States is because the Stock Market tanked, and by comparison with a grandstanding, stunt-pulling, mighty confused John McCain, he seemed the cooler, more rational choice..."

Ah, finally: A Liberal tells the unvarnished truth about Obambi! It only took a year-and-a-half, 10% unemployment, a series of unconstitutional power grabs, a deficit growing at exponential rates, a naked Rahm Emanuel accosting psychotic gay men in the Congressional locker room, a possible pay-for-play scandal, several high-profile resignations, and an oil spill of Biblical proportions. NOW the media wants to do it's primary job and pick apart the persona and policies of Barack Obama?

Collins is jumping ship. Yesterday, I even watched Chrissy Matthews, and he was sounding the alarm bells over Obama. I might get a bottle of Pepto and attempt to watch Olbermann this evening, just to see if it's a trifecta. Why, even (P)MSNBC's House Negro, Eugene Robinson, had to admit that his man was somehow less inspiring in action than he had been on the campaign trail, and was beginning to wonder how it was that Obama was such a charismatic, transformation figure 18 months ago, and now hardly inspires anyone. You begin to believe that the media is finally to seeing what the rest of us do, and a faint hope for the future stirs once again.

You can see a NASA Satellite image of the Oil Spill here.

Update: Satellite Image would not upload, included hyperlink to UPI. Fixed some spelling errors.

"American Islamophobia" Exists Only in Our "Elites"...

And in the strictest sense of the word, it best describes how frightened the so-called Elites are of excitable young men with a penchant for explosive underpants. They truly do, I think, fear Muslims to the point where they'd like to believe being the first to surrender will somehow save their lives, or maybe entitle them to some sort of "privileged" Dhimmitude status when Sharia is finally enacted on this side of the Atlantic.

Just a thought, but wouldn't it be great if every time a Mayor Bloomberg, or a Contessa Brewer (MSNBC anchor) opens their filthy, little pie holes to either assure everyone that the hastily-constructed, Rube-Goldberg-like pile of unexploded ordnance left on a busy city street probably belongs to an Obama-hating Klansman, or to cry that her greatest disappointment in life is that the latest Islamic would-be killer isn't a White Christian Hetero Male, I would suggest that we send the first to the front lines of Afghanistan (alas, our Mayor won't go of his own accord, since there's no Beluga in the standard MRE), and the other should be forced to wear a burkha with the words "Kick Me!" emblazoned on the back, and let loose in downtown Tehran.

Then we'd see if their attitudes and beliefs changed significantly for the experience. I rather doubt they would, if only because experience has convinced me that, sans a vaccine for Stupid, some people are simply unteachable.

Eric Holder and Janet Napolitano, our erstwhile "defenders", also suffer from this disease (symptoms: inability to identify the enemy, or face/tell the truth), only their brand of delusion goes much deeper because they imagine themselves to be more "Elite" than most. That's another symptom of the disease, you see. To prick their balloons of self-importance: Holder simply fills the PC-requirement that a "Person of Color" be head of the (in-)Justice Department, and Napolitano is the Token Butch-but-Irish-Setter-Stupid-Bull-Dyke that every democratic administration apparently must have. Nothing in that ridiculously short list of poliically-motivated qualifications says anything about competence and intelligence, assuming that anyone selected on that basis probably has none. Neither could defend a cookie jar from an attack by a determined 4-year-old, let alone defend a country against a determined enemy that they refuse to recognize.

We're fucked when our elected officials and members of the media are unwilling to tell the truth about either that which it is impossible to deny, or about their own motivations. Fortunately, these problems will soon be solved: Bloomberg's term will eventually expire, The Obama Administration will be sent packing after a single term, and MSNBC will soon be off the air due to lack of viewers.

In Real Life, He's a Pantybunched Little Girl...

I know no one watches him anymore, but someone really ought to get Keefy Olbermann some help. Being an expert on self-delusional mental illnesses, I recognize all of his symptoms; the yelling, the hyperbole, the forced drama, the hopping up and down on one foot, face screwed into a mask that's half ecstasy-half-the-strain-of-holding-back-a-raging-bladder, like a little boy bursting for a pee.

You tell me if this appears to be a sane man. In total control of his faculties, for sure!

It's bad enough that Keef makes things up, now he has to latch onto things that other people made up, just to continue his act. Because it really IS an act, you know. It has to be: no one could be this clueless and not be in Congress, or even the White House.

Ooops, did I say "White House?". Tut-tut, Keefy might begin calling me a racist and accuse me of only wanting to be surrounded by People...Who...Look...Like...Me! I'm all a-scared, because when Keef comes after you with the racist brand, boy, you know you're really, really gonna get it! He'll call you "racist" all day long, until his voice is gone, and his molded-to-his-plastic-head haircut is all dishevelled. He can keep it up for hours, too; imagine, having to look at THAT FACE; that one that he puts on when he gets all self-righteous and smug, that looks like he's sitting on his vibrator while someone pours lemon juice into an open wound. Why, that's enough to make most men break!

Except that only Keef takes Keef seriously, and the Act is beginning to wear thin. I say "Act" because like most liberals who appear to care more than the rest of us but really don't, they understand basic economics. Keef's checkbook, and the means to continue to buy super-hot girlfriends, depends on The Act. He makes a lot of money doing this bit, entertaining the Libtards with second-grade shtick, and insult comedy about their favorite boogeymen; Bill O'Reilly, Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity, Ann Coulter...Why, if it weren't for people like that, people who are actually journalists, opinionists, and genuine entertainers, Keef wouldn't have anything. He'd be back in Dogpatch doing play-by-play at an American Legion Softball game.

Keef is obsessed with Rush and Bill, et. al.,because he gets paid to be. And the nastier he gets, the more the Libtards love it, and the more he gets paid for it. You really believe that any sane individual actually believes the crap that (P)MSNBC anchors claim to believe? Do you think they would even give voice to such opinions if they didn't get paid a shitload for it? Rachel Maddow, yeah, but that's only because she finds penis frightening and I don't dare delve into that mental chasm without a hardhat with a light on it, and a stout rope. I also detect a strain of jealousy in Keefy, as well, because while Keefy gets paid well, he doesn't get paid O'Reilly Scale, and that means he can't impress the girlies that he has to pay by the hour to be his girlfriend, and he can but only dream of being in the same category as Limbaugh and Coulter.
Here's my own (unprofessional, though it is) psychological profile of Keefy:

* Penis envy
* Mommy Issues
* Pathological liar
* Narcissism
* Often projects his own, secretly-held beliefs onto others
* Obsessive Compulsive Disorder
* Bi-polar disorder
* Anal-retentive
* Monomania

I also wouldn't be surprised if Keefy was a compulsive masturbator, too -- perhaps spending as much as 12 hours a day Waxing the Totem -- and he's probably tried animal butt sex at least...twice. I wouldn't doubt that his mother either refused to breast feed him, or did so thrice-daily until he was at least 8.

But the Act is wearing thin. The over-the-top, 1970's-gotcha-journalism-dramatic-mock-seriousness and sheer shrillness is beginning to instigate the Great American Pucker Factor; where the very sight of Keef makes people try to suck their own assholes back into their own bodies as a measure of disgust. Watching Keef is like pouring salt on a slug. Listening to the constant rant, the manic rave, the vomit-inducing, irrational-leaps-to-something-purporting-to-be-a-conclusion-but-which-are-only-yet-another-spurious-charge-against-someone-Keef-hates, is simply getting to be tiresome.

It's dull and tedious, and even watching Olbermann have a nervous breakdown while he spouts things he obviously doesn't believe, which are totally without merit, and for which he happily takes an inflated paycheck for, is not worth the time or effort. It was once funny, then it became disgusting, and now it's just sad.

Keith Olbermann needs professional help.

Update: Keefy rejects the invitation to see the People of Color in the Tea Party, but insists that some of his best friends are black. Nothing like accusing people of racism without any foundation at all, and then refusing to be corrected by direct evidence. Must be an example of those fine "journalistic standards" they have at (P)MSNBC.

Report: Pantybomber One F****d Up Dude...

Gee, do you think? I mean, I know so many normal people who tape bombs to their tallywhackers, smuggle them through airport security on two continents, and then inject them with some sort of liquid detonator just before landing. Don't you?

(P)MSNBC has already begun the "poor, mixed up kid" defense. Yeah, that'll work.

Then again, it might, since this Administration and it's law enforcement and security arms are simply unable to come to grips with the fact that terrorism exists, that the majority of terrorists are Muslims, and that the Muslim world has been at War with us since 1979. This 'kid' is just the latest in a long line of Islamic Terrorists sent out to kill Westerners.

But no, this is "an isolated extremist" according to the President, and the circumstances of how he got a bomb and then on a flight require a "thorough investigation", but "the system worked" when an "alert citizen" averted a "man-caused disaster". That's the line from the Obama Administration. Seventy-two hours after the incident (Sorry, Mr. President, but you're supposed to cut your vacation short and make at least one (good) speech during this sort of thing, The man who consumes airtime couldn't be bothered to show himself on TV... when it was actually necessary for him to do so).

Until it isn't, and they have to backtrack on even that mealy-mouthed response a day later. After they blame George Bush (again). But there it is: nothing to see here: " No, no, no, that wasn't a Muslim with a bomb, no, no, no that wasn't the failure of the security apparatus, no, no, no, the Department of Homeland Security didn't fail spectacularly. No, No, NO! We''re not at War with anyone..."

Standard (Liberal) Washington boilerplate. A lot of sound and fury, signifying nothing.

This was an act of war, but the libs refuse to see it that way. Now Pantybomber has lawyered up, and he doesn't have to say a damned thing to anyone. So we'll probably never know who sent him, how they got him here, who recruited him and who put him up to this. Hell, even the information the government does have, it didn't seem to put to any good use. This does not inspire confidence.

And another idiot will try a similar stunt in a few weeks or months, and maybe even succeed.

It's time to stop with the lofty rhetoric about open hands and clenched fists. It's time to stop hiding from the obvious with "man-caused disasters" and the holistic approach to fighting terrorism. It's time to forget about the niceties of the legal system when you're dealing with people who a) don't give a crap about your vaunted courts, and b) will only use them, if possible, to embarrass and denounce the country. It's time to start holding the federal bureaucracy responsible...for something. Homeland Security and the State Department knew about this guy, and did absolutely jack shit. The British had him on a watch list, and they apparently shared that information with us, but someone decided not to investigate even after his own father turned him in!

Of course not... We have bigger fish to fry like Healthcare and figuring out how to spend more money than actually exists. No time for fighting terrorism, so we'll just pretend it doesn't exist. Until it does, and then it's not really what it appears to be.

This is War. The Obama Administration doesn't think so, it acts as if it's never heard of terrorists and a War on Terrorism. It believes it can just talk unicorns and rainbow bunnies into existence and the world will be a better place. It won't, because of people like Pantybomber; this article gives you a small glimpse into who the Other Side is recruiting: lunatics who hold incessant, and inane, internal debates over what "the Prophet said". People who are unable to make simple day-to-day decisions without having to check them against the teachings of a child-molesting murderer are simply too far gone to care about legalism and morality. They don't share your vision for World Peace -- they want to rule the World and every aspect of daily life. The unicorns and rainbow bunnies need to die in order for that to happen. They only say so every goddamned day. Open those elephantine ears, Mr. President.

The article makes the kid look somewhat sympathetic, certainly (I think I know, to a certain extent, how he must have felt when he posted that stuff having suffered from depression myself), but then he loses all rights to sympathy when you stop to consider the solution that he chose: to strap an explosive to himself in an attempted suicide -- with the added "benefit" that several hundred "Infidels" would go with him. Those "infidels" didn't know him, they didn't care about his phony-baloney religion, and a sizable proportion of them might have actually helped that young man with his difficulties, had circumstances been different.

But when you reach the point of taping PETN to your pecker, you're no longer looking for help.
Sorry, but there ain't enough sympathy in the world after that.

Now, if Barack Obama thinks he can reason with people who are capable of making that formulation -- and they usually do so with great glee and confidence, to judge from the videos they typically leave behind -- with legal systems and empty rhetoric, then he's the one who really needs the psychiatrist.

And Mr. President? Get the hell back in your office.

Update: Let's see how the Administration spins this. They now have one man linked to two attacks, and if that doesn't blow the 'isolated extremist' meme out the window, then it's time to start seriously thinking about impeaching a President.

Your President: Whining Pussy...

To paraphrase Barack Hussein Obama:

"There's only one President of the United States at a time..."

That was the refrain we heard during the historic 'transition' when the historic Hopenchanger didn't want to answer a question. If the question asked had nothing to do with the Obama Daily Infomercial during that time, it was referred back to George W. Bush in a back-handed way with that retort. Usually, Obama trotted that out when he was asked a question that actually had anything to do with anything that mattered.

Ask a question about Afghanistan or Iraq back then:

"There is only one President of the United States at a time...."

Ask about TARP, Economic problems, the Real-Estate Crisis:

"There is only one President of the United States at a time..."

Ask about Sasha and Malia anticipating their first night in their new bedrooms in the White House, and the President could wax poetic. Or he could show great drive, enthusiasm and energy for something that never seemed to matter to anyone except over at (P)MSNBC.

It became a habit with Obama. When something was too difficult, it was because GWB made it that way. When something passed out of a democrat-controlled (like the so-called Stimulus Bill)Congress didn't work as advertised, it was GWB's fault. Everything in the Age of Obama has been GWB's fault...somehow. The reason why the Chosen One hasn't shit rainbows and peed Skittles for Everyone is somehow GWB's fault.

You'd think GWB was still President, in some respects!

A year into his lackluster reign, and GWB is still blamed for everything from the Cretaceous Period to the Mystery of What Happens to Socks That Get Lost in the Dryer.

It's gotten old, and stale, and it smacks of crybaby pansy-ism. Michael Goodwin says:It's about time you stood up and became a Man, Obama.

Fed Up With Being Sick and Tired...

My Lord, but things have taken a nosedive into the crapper lately, haven't they?

Rush Limbaugh denied the right to waste his money the way he sees fit, but Geroge Soros is deemed a respectable business partner. The Dow hits 10,000 again in a sucker's rally, and people point to it as a sign that 'the worst is over' without noting that unemployment continues to rise. Barack Obama wins a Nobel Prize for being black. Illegal Aliens have the gall to complain about a Halloween costume of some outer-space creature which reads "Illegal Alien." Sarah Palin can hint at writing a book and it hits #1 before it even prints. Al Gore leaves blizzards in his wake as he harangues the faithful with his Global Warming nonsense, and few take notice. Congress mulls legislation to give tax breaks to people who own budgies and goldfish.

I have advocated this before -- and I shall again -- because it is now even more necessary than it ever was:

We should line everyone on the planet up, pick every third person, and give them a high-pressure enema. Then beat the snot out of them.

It's now official; stupidity is epidemic. I think it always was, but at least in the Old Days, stupid people were conscious of their stupidity and so kept quiet. Nowadays, with this new-fangled Internet, cell phones, and whatnot, people are encouraged to give reign to their stupidity, which rapidly goes 'viral' across the electronic spectrum, encouraging even more stupid people to join the chorus of retardation which now infects our public discourse and is beginning to ooze into every nook and cranny of American life.

It's time to start culling the herd.

I don't mean killing people. I wouldn't advocate killing anything that wasn't Muslim, or useless, like cats. No, I mean it's time to start rebuilding the barriers in American life that kept stupidity at arms length, and left the serious business of life to serious people able to chew gum and walk simultaneously without a government program. Some drastic solutions that have entered my diseased braincase:

No more Affirmative Action. It has often resulted in the very worst of society being rewarded out of all proportion to their actual contribution. It was once a quaint idea, intended to reverse the damage done by centuries of discrimination, but now it's become a sacred cow that exists solely to be milked at Whitey's expense. Time for America, particularly the so-called 'liberal' bunch, to drop their phony paternalism of African-Americans (you know, the people they continuously scam for votes and cash while they imprison them on the new Plantation of the Mind?), and put their money where their mouths are; either African-Americans are capable of 'making it' on their own, or they aren't. Save the rest of us some taxpayer dough. You've gotten your black President, and so the old excuses no longer apply (by the way, he's only half black, and you keep forgetting it).

No more Birthright Citizenship for the children of Illegal Aliens. Another group that is manipulated for political ends. You know, I've recently noticed that many small businesses are no longer owned by the white Mom and Pop couple of old, and are in the hands of immigrant minorities. While I find this to be an amazing phenomena, proof that the American Dream still exists, I've also come to find out that many of these small businesses were sometimes started with seed money obtained from the US Taxpayer by people who originally came here illegally. The government handed them money specifically to start businesses. By the way, many of them 'qualified' for that cash because while they may have been 'illegal', they had the foresight to ensure that their children were born in American hospitals (I wonder how many paid their bills?), which means the entire family becomes eligible for welfare in all it's myriad forms.

No more College Loans. If someone really wants to go to college, let them work for it or obtain a scholarship. The Bachelor's Degree is the most overrated commodity in America today, and having one simply means you went to a building that had all the trappings of education (books, desks, uneducated educators, beer and football games), but none of the substance. It's my opinion that half the people in college now shouldn't be there, and 90% of the people who should be there will emerge (in six years) markedly dumber than when they went in. And then default on their loans, anyways.

Change the laws to allow us to beat the snot out of truly stupid people. Whenever there's a G-20 summit, and some brain-dead college kids show up to break windows, allow the cops to beat the snot out of them. Whenever Al Sharpton arrives to stir up racial animosities for personal profit, allow someone to beat the snot out of him. Whenever Nancy Pelosi speaks in public, allow someone to beat her into a deeper state of brain damage. Yeah, I know, I'm getting awfully close to provoking some stupid person into actually doing it just by writing about it here, but don't worry -- we'll beat the snot out that person after he's done, just to be fair and consistent. We police our own.

It's time for the American people, I mean the REAL American people, the ones who believe in individual rights tempered by public responsibilities, the entrepreneurs, the people willing to roll up their sleeves and work towards a better life for themselves, the ones who can think without the New York Times and (P)MSNBC telling them what to think or how to think it, the ones who find Charles Schumer to be an arrogant and obnoxious asshole, rose up. Rise up and start taking your nation back. Take it back from the people who believe YOU are the stupid ones, just because you happen to be silent.

Tea Parties are all well and fine, but to what end? If just to vent your frustration and 'send a message' then we're doomed. How about we take a page from the other side's book: think globally, act locally? Get rid of the stupid people near you at the ballot box, pressure them in public to keep their mouths shut when they haven't anything constructive or useful to say, bring back the useful social device of stigma. When the other side 'protests' (i.e. buses in paid stooges to pretend to stand for something), meet them with derision and superior intellect --then cross the street and beat the snot out of them.

This shit has gone on long enough. I'm sick and tired of listening to it, and I'm pissed off at having to be surrounded by it. I'm going to engage in a campaign of walking around my neighborhood and publicly outing other people's stupidity for everyone else to see. I think I'll post pictures, too, just as soon as I come up with a brilliant technique for getting it done without getting myself shot, since stupid people get rather touchy about having everyone else know how stupid they are.

I'm working on it.

Update: It didn't take long to get a response to at least ONE thing written here. A poster, who wishes to remain anonymous, complains that I have made a gross error when I imply that illegal immigrants get government money for the express purpose of starting businesses. She goes on, and on, about how people work hard, and save their money, and so forth, and attempts to give me a lesson in Economics. She's wrong in this regard: the government often does give money to groups of favored immigrants (usually at the behest of a Congressbeast who has responded to a small-but-vocal constituency) .

Granted, some people actually DO work for what they have. And my hat is off to them. However, perhaps this woman should talk to the Russian liquor store owner I spoke to three days ago who bragged about how he claimed refugee status in order to push himself to the front of the line for a visa to enter the US, and then was amazed that not only would the American government be more than happy to welcome an ex-Soviet citizen, but showered him with actual cash grants and stipends just as soon as he got off the airplane, which he parlayed into his first store.

Come visit these parts, and see how many Russian immigrants there are who pull up to the local supermarket in an Escalade, wearing enough gold to choke Cortez, who then produce food stamps to pay for several hundred dollars worth of groceries. Oh, and then some will come and knock on your door, unbidden, and offer you CASH in an attempt to buy your home, right on your front doorstep. Especially if you have beachfront or near-beachfront property.

Another thing: Last week, when I was in Tribeca, I had occasion to pass by my old place of business (Citigroup). There seems to have been an explosion in the number of Indians at the office. Naturally, most would say that many Indians in the same place merely indicates that Citi does a lot of business in India, but I wonder how many of them are here on H-1B's, working for 50% or less of what their American counterparts might make?

Update-Update: Heather MacDonald at National Review has more on the subject of illegal immigrants being given the right by the Obama administration to fight legal deportation.

Don't Cry for Me, Argentina...
And for God's sake, don't get on national television and tell 50 million people that you went there to cry...for five days.

Pity Mark Sanford, Governor of South Carolina. Not for what he did; he cheated on his wife and he left his post for five days. No, rather pity him for what he was compelled to do; to make a public apology that went on way too long, was heavy on his own personal problems, the sordid details of his affair, to a press corps that just loves it when a Family-Values Republican is outed as a philanderer and liar.

I don't have any sympathy for the Governor because he's made his own bed, so to speak. I do, however, detest the press in this country. which more and more resembles, in action, a school of sharks circling a wounded humpback than it does an organ of public information and necessary tool of democracy.

Mark Sanford will answer for his sins; to his wife and children, to the voters of his state. He has nothing to explain to Keith Olbermann (who was giddily peeing himself talking about this), and he certainly shouldn't go anywhere near Katie Couric, Diane Sawyer or the New York Times. The press in this country is not interested in helping Mark Sanford heal the wounds he's inflicted on his family, nor are they about to do something dumb like try to make a very sad story seem understandable to people who need to know why their Governor simply walked off the job.

All the Press cares about is the bloodsport involved in taking people apart at the joints, live and in color.

Keith Olbermann is a Ninny, Part II...
Heh. Couldn't happen to a nicer guy, really. For anyone who doesn't know, Keith Olbermann is the host of (P)MSNBC's Countdown, a show in which Keith pretends to be delivering news and opinions on the events of the day, but which really serves as that network's version of Comedy Central's The Daily Show, inasmuch as the point is not to convey meaningful information but to lampoon conservatives and/or republicans.

Only Keith isn't as funny as John Stewart, and his main shtick is taking a gaffe or petty foible and turning it into an essay on the hypocrisy of (republican) man, delivered with the sneer of a metrosexual whose banana hammock is just a bit too tight, under a bewildering array of invective which could have been written for Keith by any third-grader. It is painful to watch, and it's annoying. Olbermann gives one the impression that he's simultaneously sitting on his vibrator and having lemon juice poured into an open wound.

Anyways, Keith's chief cause is in trying to convince you that republicans are dumb, and he usually does this by calling their qualifications and bona fides into question. Well, now Keith's been caught in his own web, courtesy of Ann Coulter. You can read it here, lifted from the web pages of Human Events.

It's exquisite.
